The name of the best-run city in California has been revealed, and the results probably won’t shock many Republicans.
While it’s easy to rag on California for being a Democrat-run dumpster fire with too many regulations, sky-high taxes and absurd social policies, the truth is that not every city is like that. Huntington Beach, California is a perfect example of that.
According to a new poll by WalletHub, Huntington Beach is the best-run city in the state due to its local leadership, which does not consist of one Democrat.
“But how do we measure the effectiveness of local leadership?” WalletHub questioned. “One way is by determining a city’s operating efficiency. In other words, we can learn how well city officials manage and spend public funds by comparing the quality of the services residents receive against the city’s total budget.”
The six categories used to measure quality of life in a city are education, health, safety, financial stability, pollution and infrastructure.
The city’s seven-member council has consisted entirely of MAGA Republicans since the end of 2024 and far exceeds the quality of life in progressive bastions like San Francisco, which is both the worst city in California and the entire country.
It’s not hard to see why, when one looks at the rampant homelessness, drug use and rising crime. It also received “poor scores for safety, economy and pollution,” according to Daily Mail.
