Father allegedly throws two young children from parking garage before jumping to his death

A 46-year-old father threw both of his young children to their deaths before committing suicide at a Pennsylvania parking garage.

The bodies of James, 8, Caroline, 6, and their father, Patrick Lynch, were found on the ground outside a parking garage in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday. First responders attempted resuscitation, but all three were pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Penn Live.

“Preliminary information suggests that this incident is a murder-suicide,” the police department announced.

Mt. Lebanon Police Chief Jason Haberman could not confirm a motive for the shocking decision and was visibly emotional as he firmly declared that the deaths were “not an accident.”

“There will be a significant amount of trauma associated with this event for the community,” he predicted. “Everybody in the Mt. Lebanon community will know somebody involved in this incident. “We really want to send our condolences.”
