Chicago mayor calls ‘illegal alien’ label ‘racist, nasty … some sort of sci-fi message’

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) bucked federal law enforcement in favor of the language police as he lashed out over a reporter’s “racist, nasty” use of “some sort of sci-fi message.”

Furthering their soft-on-crime policies and their favor for defunding the police, leftists have made Chicago a hub for clinging to the globalist agenda against President Donald Trump’s election-backed mass deportation mission. Flanked by congressional Democrats, the Windy City mayor demonstrated the narrative was more important than fulfilling his responsibilities as he dismissed a question to lecture about the term “illegal aliens.”

During a press conference that included local officials and members of the House of Representatives as part of a “Field Shadow Congressional Immigration Hearing” backing open borders, Hizzoner was asked about a spending report that was supposed to have been filed with the White House, to which he responded, “We don’t have illegal aliens. I don’t know if that’s from some sort of sci-fi message that you wish you’ve had.”

After being reminded that “illegal aliens” is the correct legal term during the exchange, Johnson twisted the topic to race on social media as he replied, “Well listen, the legal term for my people were slaves. You want me to use that term too? So, look, let’s just get the language right. We’re talking about undocumented individuals that are human beings.”

“The last thing that I’m gonna do is accept that type of racist, nasty language to describe human beings. And so, as far as our spending on Chicagoans, I’ve put forth a $16.7 billion balanced budget that ensures that we’re investing in education, transportation, housing, youth employment, environmental justice, as well as ensuring that we have safe communities,” the mayor continued. “And we are going to challenge the ultra-wealthy to pay their fair share.”

Having spent much of her political career on the open borders agenda, Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D) chimed in, “It is very important that people in Illinois and across the country understand the immigration system is a civil system. Undocumented presence in the United States is not a criminal offense. And so thank you for the clarification on language.”

The next day, even as fellow elected officials in Chicago and Illinois were singled out by the Department of Homeland Security for engaging in doxxing of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, Johnson joined others as he partook in a photo op, continuing his opposition to ICE and federal involvement in cleaning up the streets of Chicago.

“Chicago is coming together and standing up to the terror ICE is inflicting on our communities,” he posted to X. “I proudly joined Southwest Side Rapid Responders and Ald. Julia Ramirez to distribute ‘ICE-Free Zone’ signs, Know Your Rights info, and resources to small businesses in Brighton Park.”

Between reactions reiterating the term illegal alien and others slamming Johnson for once again turning an issue into a racial one, some concluded that Johnson was making it his personal mission to get arrested as he put the concerns of foreign nationals over the citizens he was elected to represent.
