CNN panel explodes over suggestion anti-Semitism played a role in Harris VP pick

A CNN panel exploded after a conservative commentator suggested that the Democratic Party’s anti-Semitism influenced VP Kamala Harris’s running mate pick.

Verbal fireworks were exchanged after the Democrat nominee tabbed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for the bottom spot on the ticket, passing over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro who had been lobbied against by progressives over his support for Israel. He also happens to be Jewish.

The panel was discussing the “flawless rollout” of the “normy uncle” Walz when the contributor Scott Jennings said that the reason why Walz got the nod over Shapiro was due to the party being “awash in anti-Semitism.”

“Kamala Harris absolutely bowed down to the radical left in her party by not picking Shapiro, who is Jewish. There was a nasty campaign run against him,” Jennings said. “Everybody knows it, no one wants to admit it, but everybody knows it, and she wound up choosing the person who was not Jewish and not as talented, and not from the state that she has to win.”

“Everybody could see why he was the best choice, but she couldn’t do it,” he added. “Because the party is somewhat awash in anti-Semitism.”

Jennings’ observation triggered contributor Ashley Allison, who instead of addressing the elephant in the room of the Democratic Party’s antipathy toward Jews, tried to change the subject to abortion, the central tenet of the Democrat case for permanent political power.

“Guess what? Kamala Harris got a choice to make, and she got to make the choice of who was going to be her running mate and who she was going to go into the next 90 days and maybe the next four years and maybe the next eight years with,’ Alison said.

“You don’t get to tell her who she has to run with, she gets to choose that, that’s what leaders do,” she angrily added before going into “muh Trump” mode.

Jennings wasn’t the only CNN pundit to point out the anti-Semitic aspects of Harris bowing to pressure and not picking Shapiro, the popular governor of a state vital to the Democrat hopes of retaining control over the White House.

“On the one hand, you have a lot of young people who are concerned about Gaza. You have a lot of Muslims and Arabs and others, they have not felt seen by the Biden administration. You started hearing that genocide joke, that was building that was building and so those folks needed to have a candidate that they could feel comfortable with. This helps him in that regard. But you also have anti-Semitism that has gotten marbled into this party,” Van Jones said earlier on Tuesday.

“You can be for the Palestinians without being an anti-Jewish bigot. But there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there and there’s some disquiet now and there has to be. How much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party? So that’s going to have to get worked out. It’s going to have to get talked through,” the former Obama official added.

The decision to go with Walz, who allowed Black Lives Matter thugs to burn down the biggest city in his state, over Shapiro who was smeared as “Genocide Josh” by leftists, sends a message to America that the Democratic Party is now the party of anti-Semitism, a brand that will stick to it like glue.
