Confused Kamala orders Netanyahu to get cracking on Gaza ceasefire, wags other finger at protesters

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing heat from the right and left over her response to the violent pro-Hamas protests that erupted in D.C. during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress this Wednesday.

As previously reported, the protesters/rioters ripped down the American flag from D.C.’s Union Station, burned the flag, and then raised a Palestinian flag in its stead.

The protesters/rioters were also spotted waving the flag of Hamas, the terrorist group that runs the Gaza Strip:

A day after the protests, Harris, to her credit, published a statement to X condemning the “despicable acts by unpatriotic protesters” and their “dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.”

“I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews,” she said. “Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation.”

“I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way. I support the right to peacefully protest, but let’s be clear: Antisemitism, hate, and violence of any kind have no place in our nation,” she added.

The statement prompted two distinct responses, one of them being condemnation from the radicalized far-left. Leading the far-left brigade was Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.

“You can buy a new flag, but you can’t bring 180,000 people back to life,” Stein tweeted, referencing the number of innocent Palestinians that Hamas claims have died during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

“How is it that this ‘full statement’ says NOTHING about murderous genocide funded by the USA?” Stein added.

Her followers echoed this disgust toward Harris.

The other response to Harris’ statement was skepticism from Orthodox Jews like Ben Shapiro.

In a tweet, Shapiro noted that earlier this month she’d defended the pro-Hamas protesters (who, FYI, have been protesting around the country for months now) during an interview with The Nation, a far-left magazine.

“They are showing exactly what the human emotion should be, as a response to Gaza,” she’d said, as noted by Shapiro.

Shapiro and others have also drawn attention to the widely panned way in which Harris responded to Netanyahu’s speech to Congress.

First and foremost, she snubbed Netanyahu by skipping the speech, which was a big no-no. She then issued a video statement demanding Netanyahu pursue a ceasefire deal even though Hamas has yet to be fully defeated.

Worse, she complained about the “suffering in Gaza” without mentioning that this war started as a result of Hamas — the government chosen by the Gaza Palestinians — murdering 1,300 innocent people.

“What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating — the images of dead children and desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety, sometimes displaced for the second, third, or fourth time,” she said.

“We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering and I will not be silent,” she added.

Her remarks prompted a massive backlash.
