Dem Rep. pushing gun control bill: ‘Spare me the bullsh*t about constitutional rights’

In furtherance of a longstanding gun control agenda, Democrats have been quick to seize upon America’s grief over the deaths of 19 elementary school children in Uvalde, Texas, along with two adults by a mentally disturbed 18-year-old gunman who exhibited many of the tell-tale signs of a sociopath, even talking openly online about shooting up schools.

The House Judiciary Committee, under the guidance of U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., shoved through the “Protecting Our Kids Act,” a wide-ranging package of gun control legislation on a 25-19 party-line vote, after a marathon session of nearly 10 hours during a week when Congress was on a scheduled recess. The legislation targeting the Second Amendment and trampling on Americans’ constitutional right to bear arms in accordance with our inherent God-given right to self-defense is not expected to pass in the Senate. Instead, it’s a show vote that allows Democrats to tee up a series of votes on gun bills in the hope it will lead to electoral success in November.

As for our constitutional rights, U.S. Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., put it rather bluntly: “Spare me the bullsh-t.”

While discussing red flag laws, the Democratic lawmaker staked out the moral high ground to declare, “You know who didn’t have due process? You know who didn’t have their constitutional right to life respected? The kids at Parkland, and Sandy Hook, and Uvalde and Buffalo, and the list goes on and on.”

“So spare me the bullsh-t about constitutional rights.”

Of course, an honest assessment of today’s progressive left-controlled Democratic Party would include the high probability that their ultimate goal is to do away with the U.S. Constitution altogether, after all, it was written by a bunch of wealthy white men. Either way, the reaction on social media makes it clear that the party’s disdain for our inherent rights is nothing new.
