Top brass at Disney were warned that a potential victory by former President Donald Trump in November could be disastrous for the company.
Disney CEO Bob Iger and his company are “f–ked” if Trump wins, warned former 2016 Trump campaign advisor Sam Nunberg who predicted retribution would be coming for the ABC-hosted presidential debate.
“I would not want to be Disney,” Nunberg told host Tara Palmeri on the Puck podcast “Somebody’s Gotta Win.”
Nunberg referred back to Trump’s debate with Vice President Kamala Harris hosted by ABC News which is owned by Disney. The former president and others called out the “rigged” debate and blasted biased moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis who repeatedly fact-checked him while letting Harris slide.
“Disney is f–ked after that debate from last. They’re absolutely f–ked. I would not want to be them,” Nunberg said.
“And Bob Iger really is going to have a lot to say if Trump is president, Bob Iger is going to have a lot to explain to his shareholders how he let Muir and that other person…Lindsey Davis, Muir, Davis,” he continued, suggesting the debate should be shown in “every journalism school” as an example of “what not to do and why America hates the media.”

“That was absolutely disgusting!” he continued as Palmeri interjected to say she did not agree.
“They called him out when he was actually lying,” she said.
“Of course, you don’t because you’re part of the media,” he shot back, pointing to the “tone” of the questions asked by the moderators and their bias against Trump.
“Why did they not call her out? She’s a liar too,” he asked, referring to Harris.

Nunberg later acknowledged that Trump was not 100 percent on his game during the more-than 90-minute event.
“He lost because for two reasons,” the political consultant said. “One, he had an off night, he just had an off night. He was tired, whatever it was. That’s true. That’s vintage Trump. That was how he was in 2020.”
“Number two, he always thinks he can wing it. He ultimately thought he was going to wing it,” he continued. “And number three, I was very surprised, let’s go into this part, he didn’t counterattack. Donald is a genius when people go after him. He didn’t counterattack.”
“She’s not Hillary Clinton,” Nunberg told Palmeri.
“You can’t just be attacking a woman, it could hurt you. And I think they’re absolutely wrong. I mean, this whole idea of the biography she’s presenting is complete bullsh-t,” he said of Harris.
“She wants to talk about how she was always for the people. I would say go ask Willie Brown’s wife if she was always for the people. She’s for herself,” Nunberg added, referring to the relationship between former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and Harris before she became a district attorney in California.
“Oh God, Sam, let’s get out of the gutter for a second,” Palmeri reacted.
