Dr. Jill confesses she thought Joe was stroking out during CNN debate disaster

Former First Lady Jill Biden disclosed her shocking thoughts about her husband “having a stroke” during his 2024 presidential debate against Donald Trump.

The wife of former President Joe Biden revealed what she had been thinking at the time as she spoke with CBS News, contradicting her stance following the disastrous debate when she defended her husband’s behavior and told him he had done a “great job.”

“I wasn’t horrified, I was frightened, because I had never, ever seen Joe like that before or since. Never,” she said during the interview clip with CBS News Sunday Morning’s Rita Braver.

During the 2024 debate that essentially sealed his fate and led to Biden ending his re-election campaign, the then-president repeatedly appeared confused, at times dazed, and froze up during his responses.

Jill Biden, whose memoir, “View from the East Wing,” is set for release on June 2, shared how his conduct scared her.

“I don’t know what happened,” she said. “As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”

But in the immediate aftermath of the June 2024 televised debate, she cheered on her husband along with supporters who had gathered in Atlanta.

“Joe – you did such a great job,” she said. “You answered every question, you knew all the facts.”

A former aide noted to the New York Post that a better title for Mrs. Biden’s memoir should be: “View From the East Wing, Blindfold On.”

“Find it in the fiction aisle of your local bookstore,” the person said.

One source close to the former first lady came to her defense, telling the outlet that she “tried to dig deep and explore the answers to some of the questions she knows that are out there.”

Michael LaRosa, who served as press secretary for the first lady from 2021 to 2022, dismissed Jill Biden’s revelation as coming too late.

“Unfortunately, when you wait this long to tell your own story in your own words, it’s extremely hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube. She owed it to herself to be candid and transparent in the moment or the days after,” he told The Post.
