Durbin raises eyebrows with proposal to enlist illegals into military, and give them citizenship

Democrats determined to further undermine American sovereignty set sights on military recruitment — across the border.

Seemingly unsatisfied with the slow of erosion of the world’s preeminent fighting force by prioritizing Marxist ideals like diversity, equity and inclusion while also allowing illegal aliens to pour in from all sides, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin (D) spoke in favor to a plan to combine the two.

Taking to the Senate floor Monday, he addressed a proposal from Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D) that would address recruitment shortfalls by turning military service into a pathway to citizenship.

Attorney Rogan O’Handley, known as DC Draino, shared a clip of Durbin’s remarks referring to it as “their grand plan” and contended, “The part he isn’t disclosing is who the Marxists will use the alien soldiers against…”

“Should we give them a chance?” asked Durbin. “I think we should.”

“What troubles me about the debate now about the southern border is that it is one-half of the immigration equation. Yes, we need order at the border. Yes, we need to have changes in the laws that reflect the reality of the overwhelming numbers from all over the world who are coming to our shores and our border,” the senator expressed. “But there’s also an incredible demand for legal immigration into this country, even now.”

“The presiding officer, my colleague from the state of Illinois, has legislation which addresses one aspect of that,” he said of Duckworth’s proposal. “Her bill — and I hope I describe it accurately — says that if you are an undocumented person in this country and you can pass the physical and the required test, background test, the like, that you can serve in our military, and if you do it honorable, we will make you citizens of the United States.”

“Do we need that? Do you know what the recruiting numbers are at the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force? They can’t reach their quotas each month,” lamented Durbin, avoiding the reason for those shortfalls. “They can’t find enough people to join.”

“And there are those who are undocumented who want the chance to serve and risk their lives for this country. Should we give them a chance? I think we should,” voiced the senator.

Oft-reported recruitment numbers have come coupled with denials from military brass that they’ve lost sight of the mission in exchange for virtue signaling. In fact, when asked directly about the military being “too woke” by CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ret. U.S. Army Gen. Mark Milley said, “No, not at all. You know, I’m not even sure what that word truly means.”

“But I would tell you that the military I see is a military that is exceptionally strong. It’s powerful. It’s ready,” claimed Milley who went on to state, “This is a military that’s dedicated to maintaining our readiness; our capabilities; our lethality. And the thing that we also need to focus on is the modernization for the future character of war that I see fundamentally changing. But this — military is a lot of things but woke it is not. So, I take exception to that.”

Like with similar proposals that sought to offer illegal aliens the right to vote, essentially hammering a nail in the coffin of the American constitutional republic, reactions to Durbin were rife with accusations of “treason” and echoed with “told you sos.”
