Embattled Platner fires back at ‘a–hole’ Fetterman

Embattled Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner fired back at Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) during remarks at a weekend town hall event.

The Bernie Sanders-backed oyster farmer has been engulfed by scandal over his Nazi “Totenkopf” death’s head chest tattoo, graphic sexual texting to women, and disturbing allegations from an ex-girlfriend featured in a recent New York Times story, with Fetterman breaking ranks with his party to savagely criticize the candidate.

On Sunday in Portland, Platner ripped the hoodie-clad galoot, whom he referred to as an “a**hole” and an example of what not to be once elected.

“The Senate really is a place of, it’s a lot about relationships, and … I don’t want to go down there and simply be nonfunctional,” the candidate said in response to an audience member who asked him about how he would conduct himself in Washington if he wins.

“I mean, as you can all probably tell, I got a lot of criticisms about the way this government functions, but in order for us to make it functional, we’re going to have to do stuff, and you can’t just go down there and be John Fetterman, and … just sort of be an a**hole,” he continued.

Platner said that since the Pennsylvania Democrat has “said mean things” about him, he’s “allowed to say that.”

Fetterman had previously described Platner as an “a**hole” in remarks reported by NOTUS’s Igor Bobic.

“Democrats really, really like Platner in Maine, but the Republicans f**king love him,” Fetterman said. “If Maine wants an a**hole with a Nazi tattoo on his chest, they get him.”

Platner is hoping to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, but he is not only running against her, but also his own sordid past, which, according to Fetterman, may include previously undisclosed “d*ck pics” allegedly shared on social media.

“I think people have all agree, you know, at least in the caucus, they‘re all aware that he had a Nazi tattoo and he has been a membership at the Kik, the Kik online community and dropping, you know, texts and d*ck pics and other things with women as last year, and now, as the New York Times pointed out yesterday, he‘s had an abusive history of women that he dated…,” the Pennsylvania Democrat told CNN’s Kasie Hunt on Friday.

“This is a guy that had a problem with me, how I dress, but he seemed to have no problem posing in a towel at a disgusting website that consistently had serious problems about that kind of depravity,” Fetterman said during a recent Fox News appearance.

Maine Democrats are expected to overlook Platner’s questionable history in Tuesday’s primary, setting up a matchup with Collins in November.
