Fired fed workers can cry about Musk’s cruelty on MSNBC, but can’t answer the email; Dem likens cuts to Holocaust

The same left-wing zealots who celebrated unvaccinated workers being fired during the pandemic continue to cry about the thinning of the federal workforce by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Take Virginia state Del. Joshua Cole, who last week compared DOGE’s cost-saving work to the Nazis’ attack on the Jews during the Holocaust.

“I must say that I have seen so many different people on social media rather excited about these [DOGE] cuts; rather excited about these job losses,” he began during an emergency hearing.

“And that reminds me of a quote from a long time ago that said: ‘At first they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t Jewish. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. And then when they came for me, there was no one to speak up because everyone had been taken,'” he added.

Listen:

The stupid, insensitive remarks enraged state House Minority Leader Todd Gilbert, who told Fox News that Cole should apologize to Holocaust survivors.

“Comparing the loss of some government jobs to the Holocaust is an insult to the memory of the millions who were slaughtered [by the Nazi regime],” he said.

Over on MSNBC meanwhile, the leftists there have produced a video of fired federal workers whining to the public about the threat their job terminations pose to democracy or something.

Take Dr. Ben Andrew, who reportedly oversaw cybersecurity for the VA.gov website.

“About a third of USDS [United States Digital Service], including me, were fired last week,” he said in the video. “Without people like me ensuring that VA.gov is secure, the private financial and healthcare data of American veterans is at risk of being stolen, sold to the highest bidder, and used to harm people.”

Riley Ratcliffe, a janitor at Yosemite National Park, likewise warned how his work was crucial to ensuring park visitors had a good time.

“I picked diapers off the side, toilet paper, beer bottles, cigarette butts, you name it, so you didn’t have to see it,” he said.

Conservatives among the public weren’t very receptive to their complaints.

“Hey @MSNBC those workers that were fired are NON-ESSENTIAL. Do you understand what that means? They are not essential and neither are their jobs. Stay safe, wear your masks,” one critic wrote on X, mocking MSNBC’s prior advocacy for workplace vaccine mandates.

“So let me get this straight: When private sector workers get laid off, it’s ‘capitalism,’ but when useless bureaucrats finally get the boot, it’s a national tragedy? Maybe if they had learned to code like they told coal miners, they wouldn’t be crying on MSNBC,” another critic tweeted.

Last up is CNN, where lone conservative champion Scott Jennings was forced on Monday to school his leftist co-hosts on reality.

During a discussion, the hosts complained about an email that DOGE boss Elon Musk sent to federal workers demanding they list five things they’ve accomplished on the job or face immediate termination.

Since the email was sent out, a number of affected employees have run to the leftist media to pout over it. In the segment below, Jennings noted the irony in the fact that these employees have had enough time to do media appearances but not enough to reply to an email.
