Fuming ‘Morning Joe’ hosts call out MSNBC for being sidelined: ‘Next time, it’ll be us’ … or else…

A streaming snub prompted MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough to issue an ultimatum after allegedly being told “in no uncertain terms” how Monday’s broadcast would go.

“That did not happen.”

Served a steaming plate of humble pie to go with their “Morning Joe,” couple co-hosts Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski had other ideas when they returned to the air Tuesday. After reports suggested the chronically Trump Deranged duo had been pulled to avoid a potential “inappropriate comment” that might harm the network, Tuesday’s broadcast had the husband and wife singing a different tune and seemingly threatening to quit.

The widely circulated MSNBC clip showed Scarborough addressing Willie Geist and the audience claiming that they’d been informed special coverage was supposed to be monopolizing all of NBC News in the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

“We were told, in no uncertain terms on Sunday evening that there was going to be one news feed across all NBC News channels yesterday,” he contended, and that breaking news would supersede all scheduled programming. “That did not happen.”

“We were very surprised. We were very disappointed. And if we had known that there wasn’t gonna be the one news feed from NBC News across all NBC News channels, Willie, we obviously would have been in yesterday morning,” Scarborough added as Geist explained how he had participated in the Sunday coverage and was ready for work Monday to do “Morning Joe.”

The talking head’s claims contradicted reports that suggested the network didn’t trust the program to steer clear of controversial takes on the attempt on Trump’s life that included CNN stating “that the decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole.”

“I guess after there was such a strong blowback about yesterday morning, I guess they changed their plans,” he commented after other programs aired as intended.

Brzezinski attempted to spin how they covered stories by saying in part, “…this show began, and continues 17 years later, on being the place where you can go to have the hard conversations, um, in a civil way.”

As she attempted to move on, Scarborough cut in, “Next time we’re told there’s going to be a news feed replacing us, we will be in our chairs. And the news feed will be us or they can get somebody else to host the show.”

Reactions to the temper tantrum reminded the co-hosts how replaceable they truly were and which side of the story the public believed as Fox News contributor Joe Concha said, “Nothing to see here. Just two petulant hosts slamming their own bosses and threatening to quit if they’re ever held to account for the reckless things they’ve said for years.”

“Fire them. They can’t be trusted and are openly insubordinate. The numbers aren’t even good anyway,” he added. “And they also went after Lester Holt for having the temerity of asking some good questions of Biden, a big no-no in MJ World.”
