Former President Donald Trump has finally ended his feud with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp after a long and public beef.
“Thank you to #BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country,” he wrote on Truth Social late Thursday.
“I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” his post continued.

The stunning about-face on Kemp came shortly after the governor appeared on Fox News “Hannity” and called for Republicans to vote Trump into office.
“We’ve got to win,” he said. “We have to win from the top of the ticket down. I have been saying consistently, for a long time, we cannot afford another four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. And I think Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are going to be even worse.”
“We need to send Donald Trump back to the White House, we need to retake the Senate, we need to hold the House, we need to hold our legislative majorities that we have in the great state of Georgia,” he added.

Speaking with Fox News’ Bret Baier later Thursday evening, Trump for his part was asked whether he’s trying to “make up” with Kemp.
“Well I just saw Brian, a very good man, … he was interviewed by Sean Hannity, and he was very nice,” the former president said. “He said he wants Trump to win and he’s going to work with me 100 percent and I think we will have a very good relationship with Brian Kemp.”

All this happened hours after Republican vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance told reporters that he’d personally spoken with Kemp and was convinced the governor “wants us to win because he believes the policies of Kamala Harris are disastrous for this country.”
“I read the headlines. Brian Kemp and Donald Trump have had some disagreements. I can 100 percent guarantee you that Brian Kemp is behind this ticket,” he added.

Trump’s newfound attitude is a stark contrast to what he’s written/said in the past couple of months.
During a rally in Atlanta around the start of the month, he assailed Kemp for allegedly costing him the 2020 presidential election.
“He’s a bad guy,” he said. “He’s a disloyal guy. And he’s a very average governor. Little Brian, little Brian Kemp. Bad guy.”

During another Georgia rally days later, he then attacked Kemp for supposedly not liking him.
“In Pennsylvania, I have great relationships,” he began. “In Georgia, I do, too, but unfortunately not with the governor. I’ve never understood it. When you get somebody elected, they’re supposed to like you.”
Asked at the time whether their relationship could be fixed, Trump said, “I hope we can repair it, but if we don’t, the people are still the people and they’re going to vote.”

All this trash-talking prompted Republican Party strategist Eric Tanenblatt to earlier this month tell Politico that Trump needs to let go of his past beefs and focus on the current election.
“With Georgia being a pivotal state, it’s crucial for the Republican Party to look ahead and avoid dwelling on past elections,” Tanenblatt said. “To win in the upcoming election, Republicans need to present a united front and prioritize future-focused policies.”
Kemp personally responded to the attacks at the time with a blistering tweet calling for Trump to leave him and his family — whom the former president had also attacked — out of it.
