On a day when rumors were swirling that President Joe Biden would withdraw as a candidate in the election over the weekend and Democrats would forego the “Kamala coronation,” as Megyn Kelly put it, in favor of an open convention, CNN’s smarmy anchor Jake Tapper dropped a brutal movie reference on the 81-year-old president, saying Biden seems to be “unaware” that he’s dead.
Tapper was discussing the ongoing push for Biden to step aside as the Democratic nominee Thursday when he referenced the film The Sixth Sense, which starred Bruce Willis.
“Meanwhile, events no less momentous are playing out in Delaware where President Biden is self-isolating after testing positive for COVID, we’re told,” Tapper said. “To hear top Democrats tell it, President Biden is like Bruce Willis’ character in the movie The Sixth Sense. He is the only one who seems unaware of his grim fate.”

“Former President Obama has told allies recently that Biden’s chances of winning have greatly diminished,” Tapper continued. “Interesting choice of words.”
Adding to Biden’s problems, the Democratic leaders of both chambers of Congress, Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), have also “urged” Biden to step aside, according to various reports.
Despite the Ides of March playing out in July with the Obama backstab, the Biden campaign responded to former President Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention acceptance speech Thursday night by saying Biden is “determined more than ever” to remain in the race.
“The stakes have never been higher. The choice has never been more clear. President Biden is more determined than ever to defeat Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda in November,” Biden Campaign Chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement, pushing the odd Project 2025 fearmongering hoax.
As for Megyn Kelly, she also dropped this gem: “Is this the first presidential election in which, before the election, one party has so clearly defeated the other candidate to the point where said opponent is forced to drop out?”

Speaking of movie references, Elon Musk dropped the iconic Godfather image of Fredo going on a little fishing expedition that he never returns from after betraying his brother, The Don, Michael Corleone, and the family.
“They’re taking Biden fishing soon …,” Musk offered.

Biden is back in Delaware, where he has spent much of his presidency, recovering from another bout of COVID-19, according to the White House.
A potentially fortuitous development for Biden in that it may buy him the time to weather the latest effort to jettison him. On that note, CNN’s Van Jones observed, “A bullet couldn’t stop Trump. A virus just stopped Biden.”
