Jenna Ellis ‘throws Trump under the bus’ as she weeps in court, pleads guilty in Georgia

Jenna Ellis, a former attorney for Donald Trump, has pleaded guilty in Fulton County Superior Court to trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, effectively throwing the former president under the bus.

She broke down in tears while reading a statement proclaiming that she is a Christian and that she relied on the advice of others while challenging the election.

Ellis, who is 38, cut a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings. She was looking down the barrel of more serious charges having to do with Georgia’s anti-racketing law. She will not serve any jail time and instead will get five years probation, a $5,000 fine, and 100 hours of community service. She is also being forced to write an apology letter to Georgia voters.

The attorney will also be expected to “truthfully” testify at any necessary trials including one against Trump according to the Daily Mail.

“I’m an attorney who is also a Christian. I take my responsibilities as a lawyer very seriously. I relied on others, including lawyers with many more years of experience, to provide me with true and reliable information. Especially since my role involves speaking to the media and to legislators in various states,” Ellis wept in front of Judge Scott McAfee.

“What I did not do but should have done, Your Honor, was to make sure that the facts the other lawyers alleged to be true were in fact true,” she continued. “In the frenetic pace of attempting to raise challenges to the election in several states, including Georgia, I failed to do my due diligence.”

“I believe in and I value election integrity. And if I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges,” Ellis told the judge.

She went on to say that she felt “deep remorse” and concluded, “I apologize to the people of Georgia.”

Despite attorney-client privilege, three former attorneys for Trump have now bowed to pressure from leftist authorities, turning on the former president and pleading guilty to avoid jail time. Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro both struck deals and pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

Ellis, Trump, Powell, Chesebro, and over a dozen other defendants were indicted two months ago. They stand accused of a criminal conspiracy to overturn President Biden’s election victory in Georgia.

Ellis was hammered on X for turning on Trump to save herself while the media gloated:
