Jim Acosta breathlessly reports White House denies MSNOW access: ‘Did you think Trump was kidding?’

Jim Acosta was confronted on X after reporting that the White House media ban is really “happening” on Saturday.

As BizPac Review previously reported, President Donald Trump announced that he was banning some news outlets from the White House. He named CNN, MS NOW and Politico in his Friday Truth Social post, but vowed that “Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow.”

Indeed, on Saturday morning, MS NOW announced that they were denied entry to the White House. Acosta breathlessly shared the update on X.

Look:

“Earlier this morning MS NOW journalists were denied access to the White House grounds. The White House belongs to the American people and the decisions made inside are funded by our tax dollars,” the outlet’s public relations page wrote. “MS NOW intends to take any and all steps necessary to defend our First Amendment rights and the essential role of independent journalism in our democracy.”

“We stand firmly behind our anchors, our reporters, and our newsroom,” the announcement added. “We will continue to report on the President, the administration, and the issues that impact the American people.”

Acosta seemed stunned in his response:

“The ban is happening. My friends at MS NOW have released a statement saying their journalists have been denied access to WH grounds this morning,” he wrote.
