President Biden finally admitted Friday that the U.S. border with Mexico is not secure, before asking for more money to better facilitate the historic invasion of foreign nationals from all across the globe.
The admission not only contradicted Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, but it comes after well over 8 million illegal immigrants entered the country under Biden’s leadership.
At Monday’s press briefing, a reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre: “Biden admitted Friday that the border isn’t secure. Does he have any plans to visit the southern border before the election?”
“The President was in — visited the border recently,” KJP replied, which prompted the reporter to note that the visit was in January 2023.
“Well, yeah, that was — that was a year ago. He’s been there,” the president’s spokesperson countered.
Q: Will the president visit the border before the election?

In a follow-up, the reporter noted that there were 300,000 migrant encounters in December, pointing out that it was “the highest month ever on record,” before asking: “How bad does the border crisis have to be for Biden to take a trip back?”
“So, just to reiterate what I just said seconds ago, the President has been to the border,” Jean-Pierre said. “He has visited the border. He saw for himself. He spoke to law enforcement. He saw exactly what goes on at the border. The President understands what’s going on at the border.”
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin added some sorely missing context to Biden’s “highly controlled” visit that KJP didn’t bother to take into account.
“The President had a highly controlled visit to El Paso after the streets had been cleared out of migrants, he went to a migrant center that somehow didn’t have a single migrant in it, & he visited a port of entry instead of the river where the illegal crossings take place,” he tweeted.
“He didn’t even visit a Border Patrol station & he held no public remarks & took no questions,” the reporter added.

He didn’t visit the real border. He visited a faux border for a post op to say he visited the border. It was more like a kiss ass visit instead of look at what you have created visit. Plus nothing happened after that visit so it was a waste of time. So no that visit doesn’t…

The border crossings can be controlled; Biden just won’t do anything because it would interfere with their plans. pic.twitter.com/tw3Br2pdTe
