‘LEADER of The Liars Club’: KJP reamed for shamelessly spreading border falsehoods

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed back in January that President Biden “has done more to secure the border than any other president,” despite more than 5 million illegal crossings in his first two years and 200,000-plus coming every month.

Fast forward to this week, and Jean-Pierre is still spreading falsehoods about the administration’s open border policies, claiming that they “are stopping the flow at the border.”

At Wednesday’s press briefing, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy cited New York City Mayor Eric Adams saying any immigration plan “that does not include stopping the flow at the border is a failed plan,” before asking, “So, why aren’t you guys stopping the flow at the border?”

“We are stopping the flow at the border,” the president’s spokesperson claimed. “If anything, what the president has been able to do on his own, without the help of Republicans in Congress — something that he had to do on his own, again, because Republicans refused to give the funding necessary to deal with a situation — a broken immigration system that has been broken for decades.”

“What they choose to do is play politics, but the president has put a plan that is — indeed, the data is showing is — that it is indeed stopping, slowing down the flow of unlawful migration,” she continued. “And that is because of the work that this president continues to do without the help of Republicans.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who has been reporting from the border throughout the Biden invasion, exposed Jean-Pierre’s deception, tweeting: “This is a blatantly false claim from the White House podium. There were more than 7,000 migrants apprehended by Border Patrol on Tuesday alone after they crossed illegally. Following a brief lull in the weeks after the end of T42 in May, illegal crossings are surging once again.”

The truth is, even Biden’s media allies have to acknowledge the facts, as seen when CBS News reported in January that migrant arrivals at the U.S.-Mexico border last year “defied historic patterns, rising to unprecedented levels.”

At Thursday’s press briefing, Jean-Pierre went so far as to repeat the claim she made in January that Biden was doing “more to secure the border than anybody else,” in response to a Washington Post article on record numbers of migrant families streaming across the U.S.-Mexico border in August.

“The U.S. Border Patrol arrested at least 91,000 migrants who crossed as part of a family group in August, exceeding the prior one-month record of 84,486 set in May 2019,” the newspaper reported.
