Mamdani promised free stuff, but KEEPS begging voters for 4 million dollars

The left’s freshest face for socialism still sounds every bit like Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) as he once again seeks handouts to fund a $4 million transition.

After leaving the White House on Friday, having had an Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump, New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani (D) returned to his post-victory reality check. Namely, after convincing young and foreign-born voters that their gravy train had rolled in and the free stuff would start flowing, he took to social media with another heavily produced pitch for the public to foot his bills.

Between full-length spots and shorter clips, Mamdani’s held-out hand was featured in a mashup courtesy of the End Wokeness X account shared by Florida’s Voice Chief Content Officer Eric Daugherty, who captioned the content, “UPDATE: Zohran Mamdani voters can’t believe their eyes as the communist KEEPS begging for money, announcing things can’t actually be free.”

“So this dude won the election, demands money and kisses up to ‘threat to democracy tyrant’ Donald Trump,” added Daugherty with a laughing emoji.

“Remember how I told you a few months ago to stop sending us money? You can start again,” the future occupant of Gracie Mansion said in the first clip, as the second included him detailing, “I’m still asking for your help because we need to raise $4 million in total so January 1 can be the day we start to deliver, not start to prepare.”

“My friends, it is fall in New York. The leaves? They are changing. The air? It is crisp. But one thing that stays the same is we still need you to donate … give whatever you can. Maybe leave a donation?” joked the mayor-elect in the third clip after the previous snippet had him saying, “I hope very soon not to have to ask you for money. But until then, I’m asking.”

Further demonstrating how he had no qualms saying one thing and doing another, Mamdani proved the insincerity of his jabs referring to Trump as a “fascist” and a “threat to democracy” by having a cordial meeting with the chief executive followed by another round of spin with NBC News’ Kristen Welker whom he told, “Everything I said in the past I continue to believe, and that’s the thing that’s important about politics.”

Meanwhile, as those looking for more free stuff in the Big Apple had likely been set up for the bad to get worse with an ample supply of finger-pointing away from City Hall, reactions on social media couldn’t help but call out how they’ve heard a similar schtick in the past, while others snarked, “LOL you’re still begging for money? What happened to the free utopia you promised?”
