MSNBC guest Roland Martin says only way to stop mass shootings is to ‘wipe out the Republican Party’

Leftist journalist Roland Martin appeared on MSNBC with faux Republican Michael Steele, who railed over mass shootings occurring every other day, and brazenly called for the GOP to be wiped out because it will not bend to the demands by Democrats for gun control.

Steele kicked the conservative hatefest off by raging over mass shootings and asking Martin how to break the cycle, knowing he had a comrade-in-arms concerning gun control.

“Roland, you would think, after a mass shooting like this, lawmakers in the state where it happened would take stock or work on policy changes, to the Secretary’s point, to prevent it from happening again. But that’s not what’s happened in Texas. What do we do here? How do we break this cycle? It’s not like every two weeks, my friend. It’s like every other day we’re having these stories now about mass shootings,” he began.

Martin was literally chomping at the bit to answer that question which, of course, was likely scripted to begin with.

“The only way to change any of this is to completely wipe out the Republican Party. Somebody has to say it. Greg Abbott, the governor, is sick and demented. He has literally done nothing. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, the leadership, Republican leadership in the state, they literally have done nothing. They have ignored the Uvalde parents,” he charged.

“I was there at the Texas Capitol a few months ago, where they were rallying there. They are not going to do anything. But here is also what has to happen. People of conscience are going to have to stop sitting at home and saying, ‘Oh, we want something done.’ In the last election, 75% of all Texans under the age of 30 did not vote. So the only way to change this is to move these people out of office. There is no other way,” Martin continued.

“So, yes, we’ve seen what they’ve done when it comes to voter suppression, they want to remove voting locations from college campuses. But the way to counter this, you have to take these people out of office and put in people who are going to pass the laws. That is the only way. Because it is clear, they are not going to change the laws because they are so in love with guns and so in love with the Second Amendment crowd, they do not care to see bodies piled up on the sidewalk,” he falsely and viciously claimed.

And there was Steele, nodding in total agreement and making one wonder how he ever headed the Republican Leadership Council, “Change comes when you change the leadership.”

Martin’s inciting calls for eliminating the Republican Party follow the deadly mall shooting in Allen, Texas over the weekend where at least 9 were killed, including the shooter. The gunman was taken out by police officers.

The tragedy provided another opening for President Biden to call for Congress to pass gun control measures. Over the weekend, Biden urged Congress to pass gun control legislation and said he would “sign it immediately.”

“Such an attack is too shocking to be so familiar,” Biden proclaimed in a statement Sunday.

“Once again I ask Congress to send me a bill banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Enacting universal background checks. Requiring safe storage. Ending immunity for gun manufacturers. I will sign it immediately. We need nothing less to keep our streets safe,” he said.

“Too many families have empty chairs at their dinner tables. Republican Members of Congress cannot continue to meet this epidemic with a shrug. Tweeted thoughts and prayers are not enough,” Biden offensively continued.
