Emboldened more than ever, the left tends to brazenly say the quiet part out loud these days, as seen in a tweet from MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan.
Foregoing any concern about being perceived as a Biden water carrier, or about the very real prospect of politicians using taxpayer money to buy votes, Hasan was responding to President Joe Biden’s terrible approval ratings, which have hit rock bottom in recent polling.
Biden’s dismal ratings hang over the midterm elections like a dark cloud and the experts are predicting a shellacking awaiting the Democratic Party similar to the scale that greeted Barack Obama in 2010, where the tea party wave ushered in a net gain of 63 seats for the GOP, the largest shift in seats since the 1948 elections — still preoccupied with their slobbering love affair with the former president, the media is not keen on dredging up this response to their messiah being elected.
In Hasan’s eyes, to avoid a similar catastrophe, Biden must cancel student debt. NOW.
“Joe Biden’s approval ratings with 18-30 year olds has dropped 25 percentage points since January 2021, per Gallup. This is the biggest drop of any age group – and an age group that helped Dems win the House in 2018 and 2020. Biden needs to cancel student debt ASAP. A.S.A.P.,” the MSNBC host tweeted.

Never mind that studies show that student loan forgiveness is more apt to benefit the affluent, who hold substantial amounts of debt here. But then, the left seldom gets bogged down in facts when bloviating.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
If there was any doubt that this was all just about buying votes to try and stop the red wave…https://t.co/iO6RMXBgUL

Why would you assume canceling student debt would help you with this age group?
That’s why we provide a “detail” demo for age. 18-24 is not 25-29 nor 30-39.
As followers know, student loan debt is NOT the reason most in this age range have soured on Biden and Democrats. https://t.co/hMNbJUPxM4

Student loan debt peaks at around age 35 so I’m not really sure this follows. And very few voters of any age rank student debt as a top priority.https://t.co/J4ryqXspfG https://t.co/GgwzeGnshq pic.twitter.com/zGDPeOtRIY

And the sad truth is that they will be buying votes with OUR money, not their campaign money. That money will be spent on brainwashing.
