Musk has weekend meeting with Stanford doctor who was put on Twitter ‘blacklist’

Billionaire Twitter owner Elon Musk met with a prominent Stanford epidemiologist at the company’s San Francisco headquarters over the weekend after it was revealed that he was placed on the platform’s “Trends Blacklist” which limited his reach after he spoke out about the damage done to children by lockdowns as the focus shifts to COVID transparency.

On Sunday, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya revealed on Twitter that he sat down with Musk after it was reported by journalist Bari Weiss that he was among those who were censored by the previous management regime for deviating from the official narrative about the virus and the authoritarian measures preferred by the Biden administration and other political leaders.

In the second installment of the “Twitter Files” that was posted on Thursday, Weiss exposed the tech giant’s throttling of voices that could have made a difference in influencing public opinion, including Bhattacharya “who argued that Covid lockdowns would harm children. Twitter secretly placed him on a ‘Trends Blacklist,’ which prevented his tweets from trending.”

Bhattacharya’s inclusion in the bombshell release of internal Twitter documents showing deep corruption and political skullduggery at the company created an opportunity for him to personally meet with new management and he posted details of his sit-down with the world’s wealthiest man.

“I spent the afternoon yesterday at Twitter HQ at the invitation of @elonmusk to find out more about the trend ‘blacklist’ that twitter placed on me & more. A short thread on what I found out follows,” he wrote.

“Twitter 1.0 placed me on the blacklist on the first day I joined in August 2021. I think it was my pinned tweet linking to the @gbdeclaration that triggered the blacklist based on unspecified complaints Twitter received,” Dr. Bhattacharya added, referring to the Great Barrington Declaration, a open letter that he co-wrote with other infectious disease experts speaking out about the “devastating effects” of the lockdowns.

“Twitter 1.0 rejected requests for verification by me and @MartinKulldorff. Each time the reasoning (never conveyed to us) was that we were not notable enough. They should have asked Francis Collins — he would have vouched for our standing as ‘fringe epidemiologists,'” he said of the censorship and the company’s inadequate response to his verification requests.

Bhattacharya also expressed his gratitude for Musk’s willingness to meet with him, “It will take some time to find out more about what led Twitter 1.0 to act so imperiously, but I am grateful to @elonmusk, who has promised access to help find out. I will report the results on Twitter 2.0, where transparency and free speech rule.”

Musk has indicated that Twitter’s dirty laundry on COVID will be aired in public and has taken direct aim at Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the lifelong bureaucrat who has been the public face of the pandemic and one of the chief advocates of the punishing lockdowns and mandates.

“Oh it is coming bigtime …,” the “Chief Twit” wrote in response to a user inquiring about whether the Twitter files on COVID would be forthcoming.

He also took aim at the diminutive narcissist and his boss President Joe Biden with a meme from the “Lord of the Rings” depicting Fauci as the repugnant character Wormtongue, and infuriated the leftist mob by tweeting “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci.”

Musk stirred the pot again on Sunday night with another tweet, this one openly accusing Fauci of lying to Congress and being complicit in millions of deaths.

“I strongly disagree. Forcing your pronouns upon others when they didn’t ask, and implicitly ostracizing those who don’t, is neither good nor kind to anyone,” Musk wrote in response to a Twitter user. “As for Fauci, he lied to Congress and funded gain-of-function research that killed millions of people. Not awesome imo.”

It’s going to be another wild week at Twitter…
