Elon Musk recently joked that the way to make a small fortune in social media is to start out with a large one, and while many on the left are not only cheering for his demise but are actively contributing to an effort to destroy Twitter, this being their response to free speech and a level playing field, the billionaire appears to be thriving in the challenge presented.
With talk of employees leaving in droves and all the turmoil inside the company, one former employee predicted Twitter would be dead in a week so Musk paused on Tuesday to take the social media platform’s pulse.
“Wasn’t Twitter supposed to die by now or something … ? Maybe we’ve gone to heaven/hell & don’t know it,” he tweeted.

Musk would also share a GIF featuring a clip of the Bee Gees’ hit song “Stayin’ Alive,” adding in the caption: “Great song.” The tweet appears to have later been deleted.
The new boss had evidently been rummaging through the closets at Twitter’s headquarters and came across a classic find of stacks of “#StayWoke” t-shirts, which he shared online:

And while he has clearly not lost his sense of humor despite the monumental undertaking he has assumed, the world’s richest man did offer this sober reflection: “More and more over time, as we hew closer to the truth, Twitter will earn the trust of the people.”

Speaking of a sober analysis, Charles Haywood of The Worthy House had this to say after examining Twitter’s past financials and predicting the future.
“I conclude that criticism of @elonmusk is bizarrely off base, because Musk has overnight changed Twitter’s net (profit) margin from negative 20% to approximately plus 28%, more than Apple or Google,” Haywood tweeted, before producing the receipts in a lengthy thread to back up his observation:
1. I will now examine Twitter’s past financials and predict the future from them. I conclude that criticism of @elonmusk is bizarrely off base, because Musk has overnight changed Twitter’s net (profit) margin from negative 20% to approximately plus 28%, more than Apple or Google.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the greatly exaggerated reports of Twitter’s death:
It’s Wednesday, November 23. The sun came up today. Birds continue to fly south for the winter. And Twitter is still not only alive but functioning flawlessly despite unhinged “reports” to the contrary. https://t.co/SxYOUE2Uth

All the journalists publishing about a ‘teetering’ Twitter a few days ago are going to take that back, right?
It was ‘misinformation,’ right? https://t.co/r9DXzFBveG

Hard to say what will happen over time, but everyone in Silicon Valley is watching this and asking if their companies can operate leaner https://t.co/Qkvdl61PFG

I’ve died six times from net neutrality, global warming, and not having my COVID vaccine.

Yes, but global warming was also supposed to kill us by now, and net neutrality and Trump and blah, blah, blah, whatever silliness gets the most clicks from gullible people.

Honestly, we need more African-American social media owners.
You’re really doing a great job.
