New poll shows Trump thumping Biden despite indictment

For nearly eight years, former President Donald J. Trump has driven his enemies to fits with his resilience and once again, his political armor hasn’t been punctured by the latest onslaught with a new poll showing him solidly thumping Joe Biden despite his indictment by a malicious left-wing New York City prosecutor.

The 2024 GOP frontrunner may have been forced to suffer the indignity of a highly publicized arrest by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s legal goon squad on Tuesday, but if the polling from Rasmussen Reports is any indication, the bad guys have once again missed the target with Trump remaining as popular as ever and actually widening his lead over President Joe Biden, with whom he could be destined for a rematch within next year’s presidential election.

According to the results of the survey which were released on Wednesday, the day after Trump’s public humiliation which received national television coverage with much hyperventilation by the media, the ex-POTUS is leading the deeply unpopular Democrat incumbent with 47 percent of respondents favoring the former president as opposed to 40 percent wanting to stick with what’s not working for America by sticking with Biden.

The Rasmussen poll is an early sign that Trump may actually have been helped politically by the George Soros-backed Bragg’s unprecedented move against him, something typically reserved for despotic banana republics ruled by a corrupt dictator and his political lackeys who infest the system at every level, particularly the legal system which is weaponized against the political opposition.

Not only is Trump clobbering Biden in the new Rasmussen poll but the Real Clear Politics polling average has Trump up 1.8 points against Biden in a general election matchup.

Trump and his allies have predicted that his political persecution would backfire bigly on Democrats and the embattled GOP Republican frontrunner touted the Rasmussen results showing a significant gain on Biden since his indictment.

In another Truth Social post, the former and potential future president crowed about the strength of his numbers as well as a boon in fundraising.

“As much as I can enjoy a day like Tuesday, where the Radical Left Lunatics, Maniacs, and Perverts had me Indicted and ARRESTED for no reason whatsoever, there was no Crime, it was an unbelievable experience, perhaps the Best Day in History for somebody who had just suffered Unjustifiable Indictment!” Trump wrote on Wednesday. “My Poll Numbers have never been better, almost $10 Million was raised for the Campaign and, the day was capped off with a very important Speech. If we don’t stop the Radical Left, America is DEAD!”

Even if Democrats are able to sink Trump’s candidacy in Manhattan and other venues where they are waging lawfare against him, it isn’t looking better for Biden in a matchup against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a rising conservative star who has yet to announce whether he will seek the White House in 2024.

The Sunshine State Republican would thump the geriatric career politician 46 percent to 38 percent in a hypothetical matchup, according to Rasmussen.
