Democrats aren’t the only ones guilty of tossing around Nazi comparisons to smear President Donald J. Trump’s allies; now Mark Levin is doing it, too.
The volatile author and Fox News host tore into conservative commentator Steven Bannon, branding the former White House adviser as “Third Reich Bannon” over his recent remarks that “there’s a plan” in place for Trump to run for a third term.
“He’s going to get a third term. So Trump ’28, Trump is going to be president in ’28, and people just ought to get accommodated with that,” Bannon said in an interview with The Economist last week. “At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is,” he added. “But there is a plan.”
In a Wednesday post to X, the constitutional law expert noted that a third Trump term is expressly prohibited by the 22nd Amendment and that the president himself has recently ruled it out, after trolling easily-triggered leftists over the idea.
I’ve explained repeatedly a president can serve two full terms under the Constitution. That’s it. President Trump has been trolling the media and Democrats. He clearly stated today on Air Force One that he’s limited by the Constitution.

“I’ve explained repeatedly a president can serve two full terms under the Constitution. That’s it. President Trump has been trolling the media and Democrats. He clearly stated today on Air Force One that he’s limited by the Constitution,” Levin wrote.
He also threw down the Nazi card.
“Third Reich Bannon, a confessed and convicted fraudster-felon, once again has lied to his audience and, once again, the media kept reporting what this clown had to say — that the president would run for a third term. He lies to his audience, the leftwing media promote him, and he’s a self-serving impotent demagogue,” he added.
The Third Reich, of course, refers to the historical period of Nazi Germany when Adolf Hitler’s party waged its campaign of murder and terror. A blood-soaked era that ran from 1933-1945 and is known for the degree of dictatorial control and authoritarianism wielded by Der Führer over his own people.
Levin is correct about what the biggest obstacle would be to a third Trump term – although Democrat icon Franklin D. Roosevelt had four.
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once,” the 22nd Amendment states.
“It’s a very interesting thing. I have the best numbers for any president in many years, any president.” Trump told reporters on board Air Force One during his historic trip to Asia this week. “And I would say that, if you read it, it’s pretty clear: I’m not allowed to run. It’s too bad.”
President Trump confirms he is not allowed to run for a third term, saying there are “a lot of great people” ready to take on the role.

The Fox News host has made headlines for his running feud with former colleague Tucker Carlson, but Levin also has a history of bad blood with Bannon.
“Steve Bannon, a disgusting fraud. Nobody gives a sh*t about what you, Bannon, a confessed and convicted fraudster has to say. You’re a liar. You cheated how many people? At bottom, you’re a certified disgusting fraud. And it shows every time you open your big mouth,” he wrote in a June 24 post to X, clapping back after Bannon’s criticism of warmongers, including Levin, over the carnage in Ukraine.
