Protest erupts after college takes feminine hygiene products OUT of men’s rooms

Radical protesters mobilized at Clemson University this week after a decision on bathrooms reverted to the realities of biology.

For the time being, commonsense appeared to win out on the South Carolina campus after the move was made to remove free feminine hygiene product dispensers from any men’s restrooms where they may have been installed. As a result, tens of students marched brandishing signs with Antifa and Marxist emblems to “demand the reinstatement” of the dispensers as part of a “Take Back Pride” event.

“Today, we are marching for the reinstatement of the menstrual products in the men’s restrooms in Cooper Library and throughout campus,” event organizer Pan Tankersley told The College Fix.

“Students are still not safe on campus,” the organizer added to WSPA. “They still experience harassment, hate and all of those things. If anything, the university needs to step up and needs to protect its students.”

The decision to remove the dispensers came after the Clemson College Republicans had drawn attention to the products that read, “changing the world, one cycle at a time,” with a post on X that read, “If you weren’t aware already, Clemson University has tampon/pad dispensers in the MEN’S restrooms located in Cooper Library. We truly live in [Clown] world.”

“Men can not menstruate, as we all know,” the group’s chairman Trevor Tiedeman remarked to The College Fix. “All of this pro-LBGTQ stuff is anti-Christian, but people don’t talk about that. As Christians, we need to reject that because they are trying to play God.”

The Clemson College Republicans social chair Bailey Nye also spoke to the matter of wasting resources where they weren’t warranted. “It’s unfair that they’re taking the (free menstrual products) away from females. Taking the tampons from the majority of people who actually use them is wrong.”

Meanwhile, an estimated 50 radical protesters gathered Wednesday with signs that read “Gay Liberation,” bore the face of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) and at least one wore a T-shirt that had a knife on it and read “protect trans kids.” A speaker addressed the crowd and said, “We demand the reinstatement of the menstrual dispensers that were unjustly removed from the men’s bathrooms at Cooper Library.”

“Queer people on this campus are not just going to magically disappear. So instead of working against us, like taking away menstrual products from the men’s bathrooms, making people feel unwelcomed,” the speaker continued, “there should be support for the community that is already fighting to feel safe here.”

Before the removal of the dispensers had been decided, WSPA reported that they had been vandalized mere days after they were initially installed.

According to Tiedeman, the demands from the protesters weren’t only to have the menstrual products made available in men’s restrooms again, but to have the Republican group removed from Clemson.

“We have simply stood up for biological reality,” he told WSPA. “They reject what we believe, and so they want us to get removed from campus.”

Clemson University’s Dean of Students and President of Student Affairs Chris Miller told The College Fix, “It’s always good that our students have access to their campus. The ability to assemble and speak freely unencumbered just goes to the heart of what a university is and what a university is for.”

A statement from the university added, “Clemson values and respects the rights of all students to have diverse viewpoints and opinions.”

The decision itself was cheered on social media while the protesters were ridiculed.
