A California law is causing confusion for many as supporters of former President Donald Trump are having a hard time finding him on their electronic ballots.
The law in question randomizes the alphabetical order in which candidates are listed on the ballot, then their positions are rotated based on the California State Assembly district. This year’s alphabet was determined to be: IFLTDEHQMJGAYRPCBVXKUNOWSZ.
This means that in some areas, the order will be: Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Libertarian Chase Oliver, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. When the positions are rotated, Trump is displayed at the bottom of the ballot. In some cases, voters are having to take an extra step to even access Trump’s name on the ballot. Twitch streamer “Darth Caul” reported that he had to use the “More” function to be able to vote for the Republican candidate.
Just voted in California. Got dirty looks by the organizers when i asked if i needed to show my ID. If you wanted to vote you had to click an extra button to even select the candidates on the Republican ticket, you had to click “more” to do so… pic.twitter.com/A9y8tHXAyU

Another voter noted how strange it is to see a major party’s candidate so far down the list of options:
Here’s my voter ballot from California. Never have I seen a Republican candidate so far down on the list. pic.twitter.com/4ES2wshDMg

Influencers and others who voted early are sounding the alarm in their respective districts, warning fellow voters that they may have to use the “More” option to find the candidate they’re interested in.
Trumps name is NOT on page 1 at the top of the ballot in CA.
CALIFORNIA – if your district has this issue, hit the “more” button go to the next screen, scroll halfway down.
