Secretary of State Marco Rubio estimated that “more than 300 ” student visas have been revoked as the Trump administration continues its focus on immigration.
Rubio’s remarks came Thursday as he was asked about an Axios report that the administration had revoked 300 foreign students’ visas as part of the Secretary of State’s “Catch and Revoke” program.
“Maybe more, it might be more than 300 at this point,” Rubio responded when asked about the report at a press conference in Guyana.
“We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa,” the chief diplomat added.“I hope at some point we run out because we have gotten rid of all of them, but we’re looking every day for these lunatics that are tearing things up.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio Isn’t playing.
“Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa”Over 300+ foreign student visas revoked—and counting.

Columbia University, Tufts and the University of Alabama are among the colleges and universities that have seen student visas revoked over alleged pro-Palestinian and antisemitic demonstrations.
Former Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil is awaiting deportation for his pro-Hamas activities, and Tufts University graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk, from Turkey, had her visa “terminated” for alleged “activities in support of Hamas,” according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Rubio confirmed the revoked visa and offered a no-nonsense assessment of why even other countries should follow the U.S.’s example in sending student agitators – who arrive as “visitors” – packing.
“We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree — not to become a social activist that tears up our university campuses,” says @SecRubio on foreign students linked to terror groups.

“I don’t care what movement you’re involved in,” Rubio said. “Why would any country in the world allow people to come and disrupt? We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree, not to become a social activist that tears up our university campuses.”
“If you come into the United States as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don’t want it,” he added. “We don’t want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country. But you’re not going to do it in our country.”
