San Fran mayor announces 5 year, $6.5M plan to ‘end transgender homelessness’

The Democrat-run city of San Francisco continues to lead the nation when it comes to woke-ness, and they just raised the bar in appealing to aggrieved demographics, the concept that subsidizing a behavior only ensures more of said behavior being foreign to the left.

Mayor London Breed announced on Tuesday a plan to “end transgender homelessness” in the city by 2027, earmarking $6.5 million in her proposed budget to accomplish the task.

“Today I announced my 5-year plan to end transgender homelessness in San Francisco, which includes investing in programs that support and create real long-term change in the lives of transgender people,” Breed tweeted.

The mayor’s office touted being the first city in the U.S. to commit to ending homelessness for transgender and gender non-conforming people, according to Bay Area Reporter.

There are an “estimated 400 TGNC residents experiencing homelessness at any given time,” Breed’s office noted, stressing that the goal is to make this a “rare” occurrence, with a particular focus on black, indigenous, Latina, and other trans women of color.

Of course, giving transgender people special consideration over all others is what equity is all about.

Keep in mind that the California city of Palm Springs approved funding this year to develop a universal no-strings-attached basic income program for transgender and nonbinary residents, so San Francisco has real competition when it comes to omnipotent moral busybodies perpetuating the victim class in America.

Yet, the state can’t seem to figure out why many of its cities are overrun with homeless people.
