Schumer wants to crawl under a rock when reporter ZINGS him, bigly

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been protected by the media for so long that he’s gotten lazy in his shameless political activism.

A ranking member of the DC political class who honestly believe they are untouchable, Schumer was capitalizing on recent polling to take a shot at President Donald J. Trump — polling today is designed to shape public opinion, not reflect it — as part of an orchestrated campaign focused on the president’s first 100 days in office.

“The polls this week show Trump has the lowest 100-day approval rating since they started polling 80 years ago! The lowest!” Schumer said.

The problem for Schumer, who has been in Washington for 44 years and is a walking billboard for term limits, is that his polling is worse than Trump’s and the 74-year-old politician wanted to crawl under a rock when a reporter reminded him of that embarrassing fact, asking if he has become a liability to his party.

“Polls come and go,” Schumer said, with a straight face. “Our party is united. We’re on our front foot, we’re stepping forward and going after Trump and having real success.”

There’s a reason intelligent, rational-minded Americans loathe Congress and have no trust whatsoever in the clowns being sent to D.C. every year to run this country, and Chuck Schumer is Exhibit A here.

Even CNN reported that the American people trust Trump more by a significant margin than Congress.

Another factor not getting much attention is a study by the Media Research Center, which shows ABC, NBC and CBS slapped President Trump with 92% negative coverage leading up to the 100th day of his second term in office.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
