Tarlov has AOC’s back, downplays socialist diva’s radicalism

The rebranding of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is underway as the socialist diva mulls inserting herself into the 2028 presidential race, and Jessica Tarlov has her back.

AOC has begun the process of trying to distance herself from the past, including her avid participation in the “woke” movement and her relationship with the New York City chapter of the far-left Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which, among other things, called for defunding the police.

The loopy liberal Fox News host took up for the ambitious congresswoman on the latest edition of the “Raging Moderates” podcast that she hosts with Scott Galloway, proclaiming that the darling of the DSA is really now just a moderate Democrat. It was a thoroughly shameless bit of gaslighting that will soon be everywhere as the great AOC rebrand commences.

“She is now compared to the like real core DSA wing, like the far, far left stuff…,” Tarlov said. “AOC is like a moderate Dem, on a comparative basis.”

“She’s very good, and Republicans – I’m not saying voters – but her relationships with Republicans on the Hill I think is one of her most underdiscussed and most important qualities,” she continued. “People genuinely like her.”

Tarlov then used “super conservative” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) as an example of a GOP lawmaker who just “loves” Ocasio-Cortez.

“You can not get him to say a bad word about her,” added “The Five” co-host to prove her point.

AOC herself is desperately working to airbrush the radicalism out of her past. During an interview on the latest edition of ABC News’ Sunday morning gabfest “This Week,” the “Squad” leader laughed off her participation in the great “woke” inquisition which has been likened to Mao’s “Cultural Revolution” in communist China.

The suckers may gobble down the revisionist slop from AOC and her surrogates, but X users aren’t having it.

During her “This Week” appearance, the 2028 hopeful was asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl if she thought the “woke” movement went “too far,” even though she participated in it with the fervor of one of Mao’s Red Guards.

“And I think that the doors were really open in trying to entertain any and every policy that was going to get us to a better place. And I actually think that the discussions that were had in that time were quite fruitful,” AOC said.

Don’t buy it. As the old saying goes: A leopard can’t change its spots.
