There’s always a photo: Boston mayor may regret derogatory remark about ICE agents wearing masks

Extremist Democrats continue to show that they will twist and contort themselves in any manner to attack President Donald J. Trump and his administration’s policies in pursuit of the mandate voters delivered in the November election.

Nowhere is this more apparent than the left’s spirited defense of illegal immigrants in the U.S., despite the financial burden and safety concerns thrust on the American people.

On that note, Boston Mayor Michele Wu (D) had no concern about embarrassing herself in her haste to liken ICE agents to neo-Nazis because they are forced to wear masks to hide their identity.

“I don’t know of any police department that routinely wears masks. We know that there are other groups that routinely wear masks. NSC-131 routinely wears masks,” Wu said earlier this week.

Turns out, as Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin shared, there’s a photo of Mayor Wu sporting a mask during the Covid pandemic ruse.

Homeland Security called the mayor’s irresponsible remarks “sickening.”

“When our heroic law enforcement officers conduct operations, they clearly identify themselves as law enforcement while wearing masks to protect themselves from being targeted by known and suspected gang members, murders, and rapists. Attacks and demonization of our brave law enforcement is WRONG. ICE officers are now facing a 413% increase in assaults,” the agency posted on X.

U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley called Wu’s statements “recklessly inflammatory.”

Wu was not alone in demonizing ICE agents for upholding U.S. immigration law.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries compared them to KGB agents, vowing to identify “every single one of them.”

“This is America. This is not the Soviet Union,” the Democratic leader said at a press briefing on Tuesday, “We’re not behind the Iron Curtain. This is not the 1930s. And every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will of course be identified.”
