May jobs report looks promising: ‘And they’re all going to native-born Americans’

The May jobs report is out and U.S. payrolls were up 139,000 for the month, but the Trump White House was excited for more than just the increase. The report warranted the observation that the jobs were “going to native-born Americans.”

“Hiring decreased just slightly in May even as consumers and companies braced against tariffs and a potentially slowing economy,” CNBC reported, citing the Bureau of Labor Statistics. “Nonfarm payrolls rose 139,000 for the month, above the muted Dow Jones estimate for 125,000 and a bit below the downwardly revised 147,000 that the U.S. economy added in April.”

According to the BLS, unemployment is now at 4.2%

“The President is succeeding in creating hundreds of thousands of jobs since he came into office… and they’re all going to native-born Americans,” Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Steve Miran said in an appearance on Fox News.

The latter remark is a testament to the Trump administration’s highly successful immigration policies. After four years of allowing over 10 million illegal immigrants into the country, the flow has slowed to a trickle. Even more importantly, deportations are now topping 2,000 a day, according to ICE.

Just as important is that this is what America voted for in November:

Despite all the media nay-sayers, the Trump economy is humming along nicely — and by all indications, this is just the beginning.
