‘This is what leadership looks like’: Trump vows to hammer out peace deal during Zelenskyy meeting

Former President Donald Trump’s Friday meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was celebrated by conservatives as a masterclass in leadership.

The meeting has produced a number of noteworthy moments, including promises of a peace deal if Trump is elected.

Watch:

The former president was asked what his opinion was on how the war between Russia and Ukraine should end, to which he responded that he still believes a fair deal can be made.

“I learned a lot, but I think I haven’t changed from the standpoint that we both want to see this end and we both want to see a fair deal made. It’s got to be fair and I think that will happen … I have been saying that I believe if I win we will have a very fair and actually rather rapid deal … This is a war that should have never happened,” Trump said.

At another point, Trump was discussing relations between himself and President Vladimir Putin of Russia when Zelenskyy chimed in.

Deputy Director of Communications, Donald J. Trump for President Margo Martin posted a powerful video of the pair walking together.

Libs of TikTok pointed out that Zelenskyy looked “depressed and sad” while Trump was speaking about helping end the war, causing some to discuss the amount of money and weapons America has sent to Ukraine, and how that is set to end if Trump can indeed make a deal.
