Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles responds to Daily Mail ‘fiction’ about her alleged exit

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles has dismissed claims from the Daily Mail tabloid magazine that she’s preparing to leave her post.

The Mail ran an exclusive story on Friday alleging via five so-called “insiders” that Wiles was “quietly planning her exit strategy” to occur after the upcoming midterm elections because of frustration with President Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks.

The Mail also alleged that Wiles, who announced a breast cancer diagnosis in March, is tired and not in such hot shape.

“She is getting cancer treatment and is completely drained, and now Trump is taking more and more control of the White House, which he wanted,” one of the anonymous “insiders” said.

In the tweet below published late Friday, Wiles dismissed the Mail’s “Friday fiction”:

“To be crystal clear, I am not going anywhere,” Wiles maintained. “I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people.”

“Some in the media have spent a decade trying to manufacture drama around President Trump and people who work for him. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now,” she added.

In its now-debunked reporting, the Mail also alleged that Trump’s recent promotion of Bill Pulte to serve as acting Director of National Intelligence was taken as an insult by Wiles.

“The elevation of Pulte was seen as a direct insult to Wiles, three White House insiders confirmed, after she is said to have ‘vehemently’ opposed the extraordinary step of allowing the former leader of the Federal Housing Finance Agency to now oversee all of the CIA and 16 other national agencies,” the tabloid reported.

She’d allegedly previously tried to get him fired.

“Susie was totally against the Pulte move,” the Mail’s sources said. “As a matter of fact, less than a month ago she tried to have Pulte fired. It was after Trump posted the meme of himself as Jesus. That was Pulte’s idea.”

Wiles reportedly argued with Pulte and the president’s executive assistant, Natalie Harp, about the meme, chastising them over it. As previously reported, Harp is responsible for pick and posting most of the president’s Truth Social posts.

“The chief of staff reportedly called in Pulte for a dressing down, warning him in no uncertain terms that if he kept feeding Trump such incendiary posts, it could cost him his job,” the Mail reported.

The Mail’s sources similarly alleged that the president has come to resent Wiles for, you know, doing her job as chief of staff and telling him what to do.

“She is loyal to Trump, but he is now basically saying, ‘Look, Ma, you are not the boss of me,” one of the outlet’s sources said.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Wiles dismissed their reporting to their face.

“It is completely false and defamatory to suggest I don’t work to help ALL of President appointees as they enter their assignments,” she said. “The fact is that President Trump selects the best people for his Administration and we all work together to advance his agenda.”

“I have observed how hard [Pulte] works at FHFA, and I believe he will bring that same energy and tenacity as acting Director of National Intelligence,” she added.

Pulte also dismissed the Mail’s reporting, telling them that Wiles has “been a force for good” and is “widely respected by all.”

“We would not be here without her leadership,” he added. “It has been a pleasure to work with her and it will continue to be as I embark on this new position.”
