The latest release of the Epstein files set the stage for legal action from the president as he asserted he would “certainly” sue a “So-called ‘Author'” and “have some fun” with a comedian.

Heading into the weekend, the Justice Department released an additional 3.5 million pages of documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in compliance with a congressional act approved by the president.
As screenshots circulated on the Internet asserting myriad smoking guns naming high-profile figures, a question on whether critics would be “satisfied” found Trump teasing a new lawsuit against journalist Michael Wolff, a day before threatening similar action against comedian Trevor Noah.
Speaking with the press aboard Air Force One on Saturday night, the chief executive responded to the prompt about the Epstein files by saying, “Well, they should be, because it looked like this guy Wolff, who’s a writer, was conspiring with Epstein to do harm to me. And, I didn’t see it myself, but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping — you know, the radical left.”
“That Wolff, who’s a third-rate writer, was conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise, and that came through loud and clear. So we’ll probably sue Wolff on that,” added Trump, who suggested a potential suit against the Epstein estate as well before asserting he will “certainly” sue Wolff.
Previously, it had been reported that the author had been exchanging emails with Epstein, appearing to suggest he may have been advising the sex offender and suspected trafficker on how to blackmail Trump during his first presidential campaign.
Weeks earlier, Wolff took his own legal action against the first family, filing suit against Melania Trump while alleging she “‘deliberately and maliciously’ interfered with his publishing contract and defamed him in public statements tied to his forthcoming book, ‘The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump (Redux),'” in what was claimed to be a “calculated campaign to destroy his reputation and livelihood.”
The author’s victimhood posture came after he was said to have received a “threat letter” over allegedly defamatory statements like, “First Lady Melania could be the missing link in President Trump’s ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.”

Regarding another title from Wolff, “All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America,” that claimed to offer a behind the scenes look at the 2024 presidential campaign, the president called the work “a total FAKE JOB, just like the other JUNK he wrote,” before pointing out that, “His other books about me have been discredited, as this one will be also.”
Meanwhile, the president also threatened 68th Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah over a joke he made at the chief executive’s expense. After Billie Eilish was awarded song of the year, the comedian tried, “Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow, that is a Grammy that every artist wants — almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton, so. Oh, I told you it’s my last year [hosting]. What are you gonna do about it?”

While there wasn’t a statement from CBS about the attempt at humor, Trump warned on Truth Social that he was “going to have some fun” with Noah, “The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!”
“I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media,” continued the president before referencing settlements with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos and CBS News. “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”
