Twitter slaps Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘pre-teen weenie chop’ tweet with ‘hateful conduct’ label

The liberal nerds at Twitter appeared to loosen the reins a wee bit when news first broke that billionaire Elon Musk was making a move for the social media platform, but now that Musk’s takeover bid is in limbo they appear to be fully back to business as usual when it comes to censoring content.

Look no further than a tweet from U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., responding to U.S. Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine calling for laws to “support and empower” today’s youth  “to get gender affirmation treatment.” The claim being that this is a life-saving treatment, although there is a growing consensus that this destructive, often irreversible care equates to child abuse.

“Trans youth are vulnerable. They suffer significant harassment and bullying, sometimes in schools or their community. They have more mental health issues, but there’s nothing inherent with being transgender or gender diverse which would predispose youth to depression or anxiety. It’s the harassment and bullying,” Levine said. “Now they are suffering politically motivated attacks through state actions against these vulnerable transgender youth. This is not based upon data. These actions are politically motivated.”

“So we really want to base our treatment and to affirm and to support and empower these youths not to limit their participation in activities in sports and even limit their ability to get gender affirmation treatment in their state,” Levine added.

Greene responded to the clip from the MSNBC interview in a tweet that played on Levine’s name when born as a biological male, Richard Levine: “We must do everything we can to prevent Dr. Dick Levine’s pre-teen #WeenieChop.”

That offering was slapped with a warning that it violated Twitter’s “hateful conduct” policy, but that it would remain up because it “may be in the public’s interest.”

Of course, Greene has run afoul of Twitter’s Orwellian censors before, having her personal account banned for edging a little too close to the uncomfortable realities of COVID-19, which have been dubbed “misinformation.”
