Unjabbed ‘College Athlete Day’ guests will wear masks, social distance at WH despite end of pandemic

The White House has decided to once again mandate face masks and social distancing for unvaccinated guests attending “College Athlete Day” despite the federal government declaring the COVID pandemic has ended.

Dozens of NCAA men’s and women’s national championship teams from Divisions I, II, and III have been invited to the White House by the president and first lady to attend “College Athlete Day” on Monday in celebration of their victories.

An email was sent out earlier this week by the White House Office of Legislative Affairs to members of Congress requesting they attend the event according to Fox News Digital. That letter included details of the masking and distancing as well as logistical details of the event.

The White House informed lawmakers that although they will not be required to receive a COVID test to attend, they will have to mask up and socially distance if they aren’t vaccinated.

“Masking Guidance: Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask on the White House grounds,” the email stated. “Guests who are not fully vaccinated must wear a mask at all times and maintain at least 6 feet distance from others while on the White House grounds.”

Hospitals, medical and dental practices, pharmacies, and veterinary clinics have mostly stopped the COVID protocols. Most federal facilities have also halted them as Americans have returned to relative normalcy after the pandemic hysteria swept the nation.

Experts have also been more and more frequently calling into question the efficacy of face masks.

According to Fox News, “A recent study published by the prestigious Cochrane Library, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, dug into the findings of 78 randomized controlled trials to determine whether ‘physical interventions’ — including face masks and hand-washing — lessened the spread of respiratory viruses.”

“There is just no evidence that they make any difference. Full stop,” Tom Jefferson, who is the study’s lead author, proclaimed in an interview according to Fox News.

When he was asked about fitted N95 masks, Jefferson contended, “It makes no difference – none of it.”

Researchers have also become increasingly skeptical about COVID vaccine mandates limiting transmission of the virus.

Mercatus Center at George Mason University conducted a recent study that concluded COVID vaccine mandates in nine major cities didn’t make a significant difference in terms of lowering deaths from the pandemic. This conclusion comes after the director of Pfizer admitted during a hearing last year held before the European Parliament that the COVID vaccine had never been tested for stopping transmission of the virus, according to a video of the exchange posted by parliamentarian Rob Roos.

In February, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group stated that it wasn’t recommending more than one annual coronavirus vaccine booster.

During the pandemic, Biden excoriated those who refused to be vaccinated against COVID for not doing the “right thing” and “costing all of us.” He accused those taking a stand of causing “a lot of damage” by “making people sick and causing… people to die” and standing in the way of “getting back to normal.”

When the president announced his vaccine mandate last year, he admonished, “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.”

The federal government officially called an end to the COVID pandemic on May 11. It had been in effect since January 2020. Just days before that, the World Health Organization announced that COVID no longer qualified as a global emergency.

President Biden signed a bill in April that put an end to the national emergency declaration which allowed the government to respond to COVID with expanded authority that it otherwise wouldn’t have been able to exert. That decision came after Biden publicly declared “the pandemic is over” last September in an interview.

The lunatic fringe mandate is being mocked on social media and rightly so:
