Vance speaks frankly: ‘You don’t have to apologize for being white anymore … Jen Psaki, Nick Fuentes, can eat sh*t.’

An expectation-setting weekend included the vice president’s AmericaFest speech as he laid out what was acceptable in the conservative movement and what would go to the “dustbin of history.”

“… you don’t have to apologize for being white anymore.”

Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona, Turning Point USA’s AmFest 2025 came to a close with quite the exclamation point to honor the legacy of the late Charlie Kirk. Delivering a keynote speech that had many looking ahead to 2028, Vice President J.D. Vance reinforced meritocracy and trampled on leftist discrimination as he affirmed what it means to be “very much on our team.”

“Unlike the left, we stand against treating anybody … We don’t treat anybody differently because of their race or their sex,” said the current likely frontrunner in the next race for the White House. “So we have relegated DEI to the dustbin of history, which is exactly where it belongs.”

“In the United States of America, you don’t have to apologize for being white anymore. And if you’re an Asian, you don’t have to talk around your skin color when you’re applying for college,” he went on. “Because we judge people based on who they are, not on ethnicity and things they can’t control.”

“We don’t persecute you for being male, for being straight, for being gay, for being anything. The only thing that we demand is that you be a great American patriot. And if you’re that, you’re very much on our team,” affirmed Vance.

Likewise, in an interview with Sohrab Ahmari for UnHerd published Sunday, the vice president took aim at both leftists and divisive figures claiming stakes on the right as he said, “Let me be clear. Anyone who attacks my wife, whether their name is Jen Psaki or Nick Fuentes, can eat sh*t. That’s my official policy as vice president of the United States.”

Vance had previously responded to former White House press secretary turned corporate media commentator Psaki’s suggestion that Second Lady Usha Vance might be in distress in her marriage and in need of being “saved” by saying in part, “I think it’s disgraceful, but of course, the second lady can speak for herself.”

He was also quoted as stating, “Antisemitism, and all forms of ethnic hatred, have no place in the conservative movement.”

“Whether you’re attacking somebody because they’re white or because they’re black or because they’re Jewish, I think it’s disgusting,” added the 41-year-old who argued, “I think that Nick Fuentes, his influence within Donald Trump’s administration, and within a whole host of institutions on the Right, is vastly overstated, and frankly, it’s overstated by people who want to avoid having a foreign-policy conversation about America’s relationship with Israel.”

Meanwhile, as exposure of “gatekeeping” and those “trying to settle their own ideological scores” increased, the vice president’s positions proved more than just talk in President Donald Trump’s administration.

As previously reported, the Department of Justice eliminated “disparate impact” regulations from Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that had long encouraged lawsuits against “racially neutral policies without evidence of intentional discrimination,” on top of the executive orders Trump made against diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said of the move, “Our rejection of this theory will restore true equality under the law by requiring proof of actual discrimination, rather than enforcing race- or sex-based quotas or assumptions.”

As he received considerable applause on stage, so too did Vance’s speech continue to be cheered on social media.
