Vice President Kamala Harris was asked to give a “layman’s” explainer of the situation of the Ukraine/Russia situation and boy did she miss the mark spectacularly.
The geopolitical state of the world is convoluted and frightening, especially given the escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine following the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. To those who don’t follow the news religiously, the situation may need a little bit of extra explanation, free of the political and diplomatic jargon that usually attaches itself to these situations.
While on the “Morning Hustle” radio program, co-h0st “Headkrack” asked the VP to break it down for the average Joe. Harris took it back to basics, but maybe too far.
“[I]n layman’s terms for people who don’t understand what’s going on and how can this directly affect the people of the United States?” Headkrack asked.
“So, Ukraine is a country in Europe.”
Oh boy.
“It exists next to another country called Russi. Russia is a bigger country,” she pointed out for good measure. “Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong, and it goes against everything that we stand for.”
Listen for yourself:
OH… MY… GOD
Q: “What’s going on in Ukraine?”
Kamala: “Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine so basically that’s wrong.”

Unfortunately for Harris, this is the kind of thing Twitter lives for, and they were more than happy to weigh in on her elementary-level response:
Hopefully all the muh principles people who allowed this to happen are happy

“When two countries love each other very much, they sometimes make littler countries. And sometimes as they get older they drift apart and then split up. This is not the fault of the countries really.”

OMG! Was this a kindergarten broadcast? What age group is that information by Kamala Harris supposed to be for? Who were the expected audience? 😂

Oh well thank God for this … I would have had NO IDEA without her kindergarten explanation 🙄🤦🏽♀️

Her explanation came after she drank all the Russian vodka

This is how she needs to explain it for her supporters to understand what’s going on.
