White House puts CNN, MSNBC on blast for refusing to air angel mom’s speech

The mother of a Maryland woman murdered by an illegal immigrant spoke at the White House, but CNN, MSNBC, and legacy media viewers heard none of her heartbreaking remarks.

Patty Morin spoke before a room full of reporters in the White House briefing room about her daughter Rachel Morin who was raped and murdered in 2023 by Victor Martinez-Hernandez, a man illegally in the country.

White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung was among many other voices that blasted networks for ignoring the brief remarks from the grieving mother, even as they continue to shill for the MS-13 gangbanger deported to El Salvador whom they continually refer to as a “Maryland dad.”

“SHAMEFUL that @CNN and @MSNBC refuses to take Angel Mom Patty Morin as she recounts the terrible tragedy of how an illegal killed her sweet daughter, Rachel,” Cheung wrote on X.

“CNN’s and MSNBC’s contempt for the victims of migrant crime is reprehensible,” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller commented.

A news segment on the NBA and a panel discussion about California Gov. Gavin Newsom were featured on CNN instead of airing Morin’s speech. Over on MSNBC, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) rally in Montana was deemed more newsworthy, as was an interview with columnist John Heilemann. ABC and NBC ran with a story about Judge James Boasberg, though NBC managed to give Morin 12 seconds.

“Perhaps this is why Patty Morin was invited to the White House Briefing Room in the first place- to force the media (and perhaps their elected Democrat counterparts) to reflect on their perfidy, their continued advocacy on behalf of criminal aliens, and on the real damage that these inflict upon society,” Newsbusters’ Jorge Bonilla wrote.

“Reasonable individuals might conclude that the unfolding of this story will humiliate the media. Unfortunately, this presumes that the media are capable of shame. Based on how we’ve seen them cover the Trump administration’s efforts to enforce the order, the exact opposite is true,” he added.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr blasted Comcast, NBC’s parent company, for failing to “serve the public interest.”

The backlash on social media was palpable – and deserved.
