Young Israeli family seen in viral videos transferred by Hamas to another terror organization

Hamas is reportedly using a 10-month-old Israeli hostage, his 4-year-old brother, and his parents as leverage, transferring them to another terror group rather than release them during the ceasefire.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) made the announcement on Tuesday concerning the alleged transfer in southern Gaza.

“The IDF’s Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee announced the transfer late Monday night. The family consists of the infant, Kfir; his 4-year-old brother Ariel, and their parents, Yarden, 34, and Shiri, 32. The IDF did not specify precisely which organization they have been transferred to,” Fox News reported.

“Children and babies under the age of one who have not seen the light of day for more than fifty days are being held captive by Hamas, [who] treats some of them like loot and in some places has transferred them to other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip,” Adraee charged on X.

“For example, the Bibas family, the two red-haired children ‘The Reds,’ who were kidnapped from their home in Nir Oz by a member of the Hamas terrorist organization (pictured) and are being held in the Khan Yunis area by one of the Palestinian factions,” the IDF spokesman noted.

The family was taken hostage on Oct. 7 from Kibbutz Nir Oz during the attacks by Hamas on Israel. Over 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered during the attacks and approximately 240 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped and taken back to Gaza by the terror group.

Viral video of the kidnapping shows a terrified Shiri, the mother, holding tight to her children in a blanket as they were taken hostage by Hamas. According to the father’s sister, Ofri Bibas, he is seen in another clip with a head injury from hammer blows.

She told reporters that her family was not expected to be among the ten hostages released on Tuesday.

The Times of Israel reported that Bibas claimed that Hamas’ psychological warfare is “working really well because the last four days [since the start of the truce] have been a big nightmare.”

“We’re talking to you today because tomorrow is the last day of the current ceasefire,” she said, according to the news outlet. “At the moment they are the youngest hostages still remaining in Hamas captivity.”

“We don’t know where they’ve been held. From what we know, they are kept underground,” Bibas said. “We’re really worried about the 10-month-old baby with formula as the main diet.”

“We call upon the Israeli government and Qatar and Egypt, everybody who is involved in these negotiations and this deal, to do whatever they can to include our family in this deal and to release them as soon as possible,” she pleaded. “I hope they’re not holding them as a trophy.”

Unfortunately, it does not look like the family was part of the hostage exchange.

“The understanding that we will not, for now, get the hug we had so hoped for leaves us speechless,” the Bibas’ extended family sadly commented in a statement that was given to the media on Tuesday.

While it is unknown exactly which terrorist group now has the family, according to the Daily Mail military analyst Michael Horowitz commented, “It appears they may be in the hands of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).”

“Hamas has released 50 Israeli hostages, as well as 19 foreign nationals, since Friday as part of a cease-fire agreement reached with Israel and mediated by Egypt and Qatar. Israel has freed 150 Palestinian prisoners in exchange and has increased humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged since the war started on Oct. 7,” Fox News reported.

Only one American has been released and President Biden has stated that he doesn’t even know if the other US hostages are still alive. There are approximately 170 people that Hamas is reportedly still holding in Gaza somewhere.
