AOC blames Trump for MTG’s ‘revenge tour’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) shared her theory about the reason why her counterpart, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), has been bucking her party, including a pair of high-profile television appearances this week.

According to AOC, it’s all about President Donald J. Trump, or rather getting back at him for not supporting her potential Senate run next year, sparking the fiery Georgian to embark on a “revenge tour” that comes as the “Schumer Shutdown” drags on and Democrats have found a surprise ally in getting out their talking points that it’s all about the exorbitant cost of healthcare.

The socialist diva weighed in during an Instagram livestream, telling her followers that the normally loyal Greene went rogue because she wanted to be the GOP nominee for Georgia’s Senate seat, but Trump refused to back her.

“Here’s some tea for you,” AOC began, serving up the juicy gossip to her fans. “MTG, people are like, ‘Oh my God, she’s saying all these things, like, what’s gotten into her lately?’ ‘Oh, like, she’s bucking against Trump, she’s bucking against the administration.’”

“Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to run for Senate in Georgia. She wanted to run for Senate earlier this year in the state of Georgia; she wanted to be the Republican nominee for Senate. So, she was gearing up for that statewide race, and Trump told her no,” the “Squad” leader continued.

“Trump said no, and the White House and Trumpland shut down Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal ambitions to run for Senate, and she has been on a revenge tour ever since,” she declared.

AOC’s claim came as Greene was set to appear on ABC’s popular daytime gabfest “The View,” where she was warmly welcomed at the table by the vicious left-wing harpies who had only contempt for her in the past, until she could be used as a pawn in the war on Trump.

“I do love him,” she said. “When I ran for Congress in 2020, I ran criticizing Republicans and Democrats equally, because I come from a working-class family,” MTG told the co-hosts on Tuesday, dismissing the idea of a rift with Trump.

Greene also appeared on the latest edition of HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” that aired on Friday.

Last month, the congresswoman told Semafor that her party could lose control of the House in next year’s midterm elections.

“I can’t see into the future, but I see Republicans losing the House if Americans are continuing to go paycheck-to-paycheck,” MTG said. “They’ll definitely be going into the midterms looking through the lens of their bank account.”

Greene announced that she wouldn’t be challenging Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff in a lengthy post to X back in May.

“Can I deliver for the people of Georgia in the Senate? Can I fulfill my promises? Can I actually save this country from the inside?” MTG wrote. “Here’s the hard truth: the Senate doesn’t work. It’s designed to obstruct the will of the people and protect the Uniparty’s grip on power. Nearly everything requires 60 votes to pass, and even when we have a majority, a pack of Republican Senators always votes ‘no’ on the bills that matter most.”

“You know who they are. You’ve watched them sabotage Trump’s agenda for years. They don’t fear you, and they don’t serve you. They’re protected by the same corrupt system of donors and consultants who manipulate you with fear,” she said.

“I have already explained in a lengthy post that I have no interest in serving in the U.S. Senate. Look at the Senate right now, it’s a total mess,” Greene told The Hill in a statement.
