Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thought her dig at Sen. Ted Cruz during a visit to Texas would sting but she was the one left burned.
The New York Democrat posted a video of herself dancing with supporters and added the caption, “Ted Cruz could never.” The few seconds in the video show her dancing alongside another woman who is wearing a mask while she herself is maskless.

Ocasio-Cortez was campaigning for Democrats in the Lone Star State and declared in San Antonio on Saturday that “Texas turning blue is inevitable.”

Her dig at Cruz boomeranged when the Texas Republican fired back on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
“True that,” he tweeted, tagging “aoc.”
“Only Dems can be such shameless mask hypocrites,” Cruz added. “Dance while you make the ‘little people’ mask up.”
The GOP lawmaker added a final shot at the leftist congresswoman, adding the hashtag: #RulesForTheeButNotForMe.

Not surprisingly, Ocasio-Cortez’s fans on Twitter came to her defense but many others agreed with Cruz calling her out.
