AOC speaks to energized crowd as observers note glaring absence among attendees

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is taking heat after some detected that her audience noticeably lacked diversity.

For years, we’ve been told how important it is to have people of all races, genders, ethnicities and backgrounds at the table so everyone’s voice can be heard. Democrats in particular love pointing out the demographics of Republican audiences, mocking rally goers as largely white, male, or older and therefore lesser in some way.

Perhaps that’s why it was so easy for conservatives to see that AOC’s audience was missing something important.

Watch:

“Why weren’t there any women or diversity in the audience [AOC] spoke to? I don’t see a single woman seated in that huge crowd,” journalist Andy Ngo pointed out.

“I want to know who brought her there and had her speak. Not a single man in that crowd would ever shake her hand, move aside on a sidewalk or hold a door for her. If she met any of those men at random they would not acknowledge or speak to her, at all not ever. These men don’t even look at women. Women don’t speak to or at men in that culture. Men don’t sit for and listen to women in that culture, as we all see here. In any other country AOC would have beaten,” one user said.
