The Trump administration has frozen all domestic and foreign federal aid, sparking outrage from the spendthrift left.
Yet outrage is also blooming on the right, where critics are in disbelief over the types of programs the Biden administration had funded.
Speaking with the Daily Mail, House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Brian Mast identified a slew of wasteful programs that are now being frozen, starting with $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia.
“Let’s see, there was [also] a transgender comic book — we’re trying to get our hands on the actual comic book — in Peru,” Mast said. “And I heard it’s reasonably risqué.”
The transgender comic book reportedly cost $32,000 in taxpayer money. But that pales in comparison to the $15 million that was wasted on condoms for the Taliban and the whopping $50 million that was wasted on condoms for Gaza — no joke.
American taxpayers almost bought another $50 MILLION worth of condoms for Gaza. No joke.

The condoms were reportedly subsequently used for terrorism purposes.
“It started with kites with burning rags or embers attached to them. Three months later, booby-trapped balloons and condoms began to be carried east toward the South, carried by winds coming off the Mediterranean Sea,” The Jerusalem Post reported in 2020.
“While the use of kites – a popular Middle Eastern pastime – seems to have disappeared, scores of balloons and condoms with explosive devices attached to them continue to land in schoolyards, agricultural fields, and highways,” the Post’s reporting continued.
“These are drops in the bucket of the American budget, but they’re still ridiculous and stupid,” Mast said. “No more condoms or contraception to the Taliban, no more teaching them how to weave carpets.”
“No more funding drag shows to Ecuador at $20,000 a clip or atheism to Nepal at half a million dollars for a grant. These are all things that come to an end under Secretary Rubio, President Trump, and myself as Foreign Affairs Chair and the Republican-led country,” he added.
Speaking at a congressional roundtable discussion earlier this week, Mast stressed that a reckoning is coming.
“We will be doing a full State Department reauthorization,” he said. “We will wake up, eat, sleep, and breathe to root out waste in the State Department and make America the partner of choice. No one can tell you why America is spending $50,000 on drag shows in Ecuador or $500,000 to expand atheism in Nepal.”

These cuts and freezes are being driven by an executive order, “Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid,” signed by President Donald Trump last week.
“President Trump stated clearly that the United States is no longer going to blindly dole out money with no return for the American people,” a State Department spokesperson told Fox News. “Reviewing and realigning foreign assistance on behalf of hardworking taxpayers is not just the right thing to do, it is a moral imperative. The Secretary is proud to protect America’s investment with a deliberate and judicious review of how we spend foreign assistance dollars overseas.”
“The mandate from the American people was clear – we must refocus on American national interests. The Department and USAID take their role as stewards of taxpayer dollars very seriously. The implementation of this Executive Order and the Secretary’s direction furthers that mission. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said, ‘Every dollar we spend, every program we fund, and every policy we pursue must be justified with the answer to three simple questions: Does it make America safer? Does it make America stronger? Does it make America more prosperous?'” the spokesperson added.
The left meanwhile is already crying foul and claiming it’s all made up. Their only proof is the words of a former Biden administration official, Andrew Miller, who told The Times of Israel that the previously identified programs are a “feverish dream.”
Uh-huh…
“It’s possible that $50 million is put aside for sexual health or something of that nature, which would include gynecology and many other services, but definitely not condoms alone,” he said.
So he outright admitted it’s “possible,” yet his words are still being used by propagandists to discount the Trump administration’s findings.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Monday that he has “concern” about the freeze in aid.
“He calls for additional exemptions to be considered to ensure the continued delivery of critical development and humanitarian activities for the most vulnerable communities around the world,” the spokesperson said. “Those lives and livelihoods depend on this support.”
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already declared a number of exemptions on foreign aid, such as emergency food and military assistance to Israel and Egypt.
