The newest “Maryland man” arrested by the Department of Homeland Security demonstrated a “systemic choice” by leftists to leave young women vulnerable to illegal alien sexual predators.

As globalist Democrats and their Marxist allies have continued to obstruct America First national sovereignty efforts through violent protests and lawfare, the victim count from open border policies has continued to rise. This week, an illegal alien from Guinea was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor in Maryland mere months after the Biden-era entrant was arrested for a similar charge in New York City.
Sharing a photo provided by DHS of the suspect, Abdoulaye Dia, Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin detailed on X, “DHS confirms to @FoxNews that a rideshare driver arrested in Montgomery County, MD for allegedly kidnapping & raping an underage girl during a ride is an illegal alien from the African country of Guinea who was caught & released at the AZ border by the Biden admin in 2023. He also has a prior rap sheet of sexually assaulting a minor in NYC from earlier this year.”
Reacting to the post, the X account AG posited, “Ask yourself how an illegal immigrant who has no right to be here can be arrested in NYC in June for sexually assaulting a minor and yet somehow end up free to rape another underage girl in Maryland just months later? [That’s] a systemic choice that is causing massive daily harm.”

Further detailing the case, Melugin wrote, “DHS says Abdoulaye Dia of Lanham crossed the border illegally into Lukeville, AZ on December 21, 2023 (one of the days my team and I were there doing live shots showing masses of African men crossing illegally), but was released into the U.S. by Border Patrol.”
“Dia was arrested by NYPD on June 10th for sexual abuse by forcible compulsion, forcible touching — sexual/intimate parts of another person, injure child less than 17, and sexual abuse without consent,” said the correspondent. “He’s now being arrested by police in Maryland for allegedly kidnapping and raping an underage teen girl during an Empower rideshare in which he was the driver. Police say he took her to a parking lot and raped her in his vehicle, and they believe there are more victims.”
Melugin further shared video from the date in question when Dia was said to have entered the United States illegally, noting, “It’s possible he’s in this video somewhere. It was an absolute free for all back then as masses of African men crossed into AZ with no resistance.”

Additionally, Fox 5 Washington DC reported that an ongoing case involving Empower is pending after the rideshare app allegedly failed “to monitor the criminal and driving records of Empower’s drivers,” which the state says “creates a serious risk to public safety.”
Instead of working to protect the communities they were elected to represent, leftist lawmakers have taken to jet-setting to defend illegal aliens, as Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D) did for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, or redefining prisoners as “New Yorkers in custody,” as demonstrated by Uganda-born New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D). Meanwhile, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) curbed local and state law enforcement from aiding federal immigration enforcement.
While an investigation was open to determine if any other sexual assaults were allegedly tied to Dia, the question remained as to when public officials who facilitate such crimes will be held accountable.
