Bill Burr stands by his ‘hilarious’ wife over Trump ‘double-bird’ fallout

Comedian Bill Burr defended his wife Nia Renee Hill after she was caught on video flipping former President Donald Trump a double bird at last week’s UFC 295 fight.

A big fan of the fight game, Trump made a grand entrance at Madison Square Garden, walking alongside UFC President Dana White with iconic rocker Kid Rock and Tucker Carlson trailing just steps behind. As Trump arrived at his seat, Hill was seen giving him a less-than-enthusiastic greeting.

Appearing on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Burr brushed off the ensuing controversy stating that both sides do it, citing the popular “F*ck Joe Biden” slogan.

“I love my wife, you know where you stand with her,” he said. “The guy walked into the arena, everybody cheered, she gave him the finger, nobody got arrested. That’s why this country’s great!”

“I came there to go to the fights,” Burr continued. “I didn’t know I was going to the Republican National Convention.”

Here’s a refresher of the moment in question, starring the middle fingers of his wife of 10 years:

For many social media users, the jury is still out on whether Barr handled the awkward situation properly or not… here’s a quick sampling of the responses to the story as seen on X:
