Dershowitz scorches Obama’s ‘deep hatred’ of Israel, accuses him of encouraging antisemitism

Constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz tore into Barack Obama after the former president once again showed that he’s no friend of Israel with his remarks about the Jewish nation’s conflict with the Hamas terror organization.

Last week, the avatar of the modern Democratic Party suggested that Israel is at least partly to blame for the sneak attack in which Islamist savages murdered over 1,300 of its citizens last month, butchering some in their own homes including unspeakable acts against women, children and babies.

The Harvard Law professor emeritus eviscerated Obama during an appearance with Philadelphia-based talk radio host Rich Zeoli, calling him out as a “villain” and stating that his relationship with the nation’s 44th president is over.

Dershowitz further elaborated on the rottenness of the Israel-hating former president to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on Friday’s edition of “Mornings with Maria.”

After discussing how Obama’s remarks are only “pouring gas on the fire” by effectively sanctioning Jew hatred, especially with rabid leftist college students which he likened to the dark forces that precipitated Hitler’s rise to power in Nazi Germany and the subsequent Holocaust, he ripped the double-talking Democrat.

“He’s never been supportive of Israel. And finally, his true feelings have come out now that he’s no longer president and doesn’t have to be elected,” Dershowitz said. “He has contributed enormously to the problem because he is respected among young people. And if he says the occupation is unbearable and that anything can be done to stop it, he is encouraging people to engage in their antisemitic, anti-Israel and anti-American attitudes. He should be ashamed of himself. He should apologize, but he won’t.”

“I think he always had a deep hatred of Israel in his heart. He hid it very well. He called me to the Oval Office and he said to me, ‘Alan, you’ve known me for a long time. You know I have Israel’s back.’ I didn’t realize he meant to paint a target on it,” he said.

Last week, at an event hosted by the foundation that bears his name, Obama described the conflict as a “moral reckoning for all of us” and called for an end to the “occupation,” a term that has been invoked to blame Israel for decades of tensions in the volatile Middle East area.

“To compare those disputed claims with the rapes, beheadings, burnings, kidnappings, it’s just obscene and despicable,” the iconic legal scholar told Bartiromo. “And what it does is it lends support to those students basically, who are saying, ‘Well, what Hamas really did was not so bad… It was in response to the occupation.’”

“Although he said that the attacks by Hamas are not justifiable,” he added, “he made them justifiable because if life really is unbearable, as it’s not, then you can do anything you want.”

“What he did was contribute to the risks to not only Israelis, but Americans, because it’s coming to a theater near you,” Dershowitz said. “If Hamas is not stopped in its tracks from doing the terrorist acts, they will bring them to the United States.”
