The lightning-fast reflexes of one customer in Texas were caught on a surveillance camera at Ranchito Taqueria in Houston.
Video shows a man clad in black enter the building, waving around what was later identified to be a fake firearm. He can be seen demanding money and items from the customers in the restaurant before attempting to flee. Unfortunately for him, one man had a real gun with him and knew how to use it.
Watch:
Following the shooting, the money taken from the other customers was returned to them. Everyone left the scene before authorities could arrive, and police are asking the customer who shot the robber to come forward for questioning. He is not facing any charges at this time.
Twitter responded to the story with resounding applause for the customer’s bravery and quick-thinking:

Is it worth risking your life for some petty cash? That’s what you should be asking.

Good for the customer protecting himself. The only problem I see is it appears as tho the robber was leaving and shot in the back that may be a problem hopefully not.

That’s awesome! Won’t have to worry about him robbing anyone else!

This is scary. It makes me worry that criminals will up the ante and just start shooting people and not just using the threat of the gun. I couldn’t imagine being in that restaurant. Armed robbery always carries the possibility of dying during the commission of the crime. Smh
